Objective: To investigate the prognostic factors of surgical treatment of patients with Guyon’s tunnel syndrome. Methods: From December 2015 to December 2020,37 patients with Guyon’s tunnel syndrome who were diagnosed and treated in the Department of Hand and Foot Surgery,First Hospital of Jilin University were collected. After strict screening,a total of 34 cases were finally included for a retrospective study.Combined with the patients’ medical history, clinical symptoms, electromyogram and other auxiliary examinations, the final diagnosis and the location and cause of nerve entrapment were determined through intraoperative findings.DASH score and ulnar nerve function evaluation criteria were used to evaluate clinical efficacy, and the influence of factors on prognosis were analyzed used SPSS27.0 software. The results of the ulnar nerve evaluation standard are grade data, and the DASH score results are count data, but they do not meet the normal distribution, and Wilcoxon rank test is selected.Multivariate analysis using binary logistic regression.Excel spreadsheets were used for data statistics and related charts were made. Results: A retrospective study was conducted on patients with Guyon’s tunnel syndrome who visited the Department of Hand and Foot Surgery,First Hospital of Jilin University from December 2015 to December 2020.A total of 34 patients met the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Follow-up periods ranged from 8 to 68 months, with a mean follow-up period of 39.71 months. All patients underwent surgical treatment, and the excellent and good rate of postoperative ulnar nerve function evaluation was 79.4%.Through statistical analysis, the duration of symptoms greater than or equal to 6 months, the etiology of tumor compression, age greater than or equal to 45 years old, smoking history, and double entrapment were associated with poor prognosis of wrist ulnar nerve injury. Conclusion: Patients with carpal tunnel syndrome with symptom duration less than 6months,etiology of tumor compression, age less than 45 years,no smoking history and single entrapment have a better prognosis. These factors have a good predictive effect on its prognosis, among which the duration of symptoms and whether the etiology is tumor compression are the best predictors.Patients with symptom duration less than 6 months, the etiology of tumor compression, age less than 45 years,no smoking history, and isolated Guyon’s tunnel syndrome have a better prognosis. These factors have a good predictive effect on its prognosis.Among them, the duration of symptoms compression is the best predictor.
