Objective To investigate the status of e-health literacy, health promotion behavior and cognitive function of the elderly in the community, and to analyze the related factors affecting the e-health literacy literacy and health promotion behavior of the elderly in the community. To study the correlation among the e-health literacy, health promotion behavior and cognitive function of the community elderly, and to explore the functional pathway between the e-health literacy, health promotion behavior and cognitive function of the community elderly,to clarify the role of health promotion behavior in the relationship between electronic health literacy and cognitive function. Methods In this study,274 community elders were selected from August 2021 to January 2022 in the community using convenience sampling method.General information questionnaire, electronic health literacy scale, health promotion lifestyle scale and Montreal cognitive assessment scale were used to investigate relevant data.SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis.Descriptive statistics are used for data description. Two independent samples T test,one-way ANOVA and non-parametric test were used for comparison.Spearman correlation analysis analyzes the correlation among e-health literacy, health promotion behavior and cognitive function level of the elderly in community. The Process plug-in developed by Hayes is used to verify the relationship among e-health literacy, health promotion behavior and cognitive function by path analysis and Bootstrap method.P<0.05 indicates that there is statistical difference.Results1.A total of 274 subjects were included in this study.2.The total score of e-health literacy of the elderly in the community is24(14,32),the application ability dimension score is 15(5,20),the judgment ability is 6(4,8),and the decision-making ability is 3(1,4).3.The total score of health promotion lifestyle of the elderly in co--mmunity is(111.88±14.73),and the scores of each dimension are:health responsibility(27.91±6.44),nutrition 21(19,22),sports 18(15,22),interpers onal relationship 15(15,17),spiritual growth 15(14,17)and stress manage ment 14(13,16).4.The results of univariate analysis showed that:Different marital states(Z=-2.400,P=0.016),education level(H=39.286,P<0.001),family monthly income(H=9.918,P=0.007),occupation(H=19.029,P=0.001),whether to use network or electronic products(Z=-6.957,P<0.001),years of using network or electronic products(H=76.387,P<0.001),number of species(H=79.117,P<0.001),frequency(H=54.325,P<0.001),whether to have the experience of seekinghealth information by using the network or electronic products(Z=-9.640,P<0.001),and whether to have the experience of using health-related applications(Z=-6.498,P<0.001)may be relevant factors affecting the e-health literacy of the elderly in the community.Different payment methods of medical expenses(F=2.681,P=0.032),whether to use network or electronic products(t=4.088,P<0.001),years of using network or electronic products(F=5.630,P=0.001),number of species(F=8.972,P<0.001),frequency(F=9.172,P<0.001),whether to have the experience of seeking health information by using the network or electronic products(t=4.038,P<0.001)may be relevant factors affecting the health promotion behavior of the elderly in the community.5.The results of multivariate analysis showed that:The number of years of using Internet or electronic products(b=2.721,t=4.497,P<0.001),species(b=3.608,t=4.118,P<0.001),and different educational level(b=1.909,t=3.596,P<0.001)of the elderly in the com--munity have statistical differences on their e-health literacy.Compared with the old people who are the head of the unit and the staff at pres--ent or before retiring, the e-health literacy level of other people or tho--se who have no job is lower(b=-4.321,t=-1.978,P<0.05).These variables accounted for 35.90% of the variation in e-health literacy among the elderly in the community. The number of species of Internet devices or electronic products used by the elderly in the community(b=2.874,t=1.366,P<0.05)has statistical differences in the scores of health promotion behaviors;Having no experience of using the Internet or electronic products to seek health information, the score of health promotion behavior is lower than that of some elderly people(b=-4.793,t=-2.397,P<0.05);Compared with the elderly with urban work ers’ medical insurance, the elderly who pay medical expenses at full pu--blic expense score higher in health promotion behavior(b=15.341,t=2.393,P<0.05).These variables explained 8.4% of the variation of health promotion behavior of the elderly in the community.6.The total score of e-health literacy is positively correlated with the dimension of health responsibility of health promotion behavior(r=0.155,P<0.01),nutrition(r=0.198,P<0.01)and sports dimension(r=0.165,P<0.01).There was a significant positive correlation between the total score of Mo CA and the total score of health promotion behavior(r=0.218,P<0.01).The scores and total scores of all dimensions of electronic literacy are positively correlated with the total scores of Mo CA(P<0.01).7.The relationship between e-health literacy and cognitive function level is influenced by health promotion behavior,in which health promot--ion behavior plays a positive regulatory effect. For the community elderly with high level of health promotion behavior,e-health literacy has no significant predictive effect on cognitive function level(ES=0.021,SE=0.029,t=0.719,P=0.473),but for the community elderly with low level of health promotion behavior,e-health literacy has a significant positive effect on cognitive function(ES=0.100,SE=0.039,t=2.562,P<0.05).Conclusion The e-health literacy level of the elderly in the community is low,the judging ability is medium, and the application ability and decision-making ability are at a low level.Community health promotion behavior of the elderly is at a good level. The electronic health literacy, health promotion behavior and cognitive function level of the elderly in community are pairwise related.Health promotion behavior plays a positive regulatory role between electronic health literacy and cognitive function. In the future, for the community elderly with poor health promotion behavior,we can consider improving their e-health literacy,so as to increase their participation in health promotion behavior, and then achieve the effect of slowing down the decline of cognitive function and improving the level of cognitive function.
