Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the clinical effects of the two internal fixation methods, the vertical double plate and the parallel double plate,in the treatment of comminuted fractures of the distal humerus. Methods: According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,43 patients with AO type C comminuted fractures of the distal humerus were collected from September2018 to September 2020 in our hospital. The patients were divided according to different plate placement methods. For 2 groups. There were 21 patients in the parallel group and 22 patients in the vertical group. The patients included in the criteria were uniformly treated with olecranon osteotomy approach and double-plate fixation. The operation time, intraoperative filming times, blood loss, bone healing time, postoperative elbow joint range of motion, and elbow joint function scores were compared between the two groups of patients, and it was clear that two internal fixation methods were used in the treatment of AO-C comminuted distal humeral fractures. The advantages and disadvantages of the aspects can guide the clinical practice. Results: After comparing the basic information of patients between the two groups, the results showed that the data between the above two groups of patients is comparable(P>0.05).The statistical analysis of the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, and the number of intraoperative filming of the two groups of patients showed that the two groups of patients were not statistically significant in the above aspects(P>0.05).In terms of postoperative complications, the results showed that the postoperative recovery of the parallel double plate group was better than that of the vertical double plate, but the statistical results of the above results showed no statistical significance(P>0.05).The results of postoperative bone healing of the distal humerus of the two groups showed that the parallel double plate group was better than the vertical double plate group in terms of postoperative fracture healing time(P<0.05).In terms of postoperative elbow joint range of motion,a comparison of the early elbow range of motion between the two groups showed that there was no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05),and the long-term range of elbow joint range showed that the parallel double plate group The postoperative flexion angle is better than the vertical double plate(P<0.0.5).There was no statistical significance in the total score of the elbow joint function of the two groups of patients(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)The postoperative fracture healing time of the parallel double plate group is better than that of the vertical double plate group, which can help patients perform early elbow joint functional exercises, thereby further preventing the occurrence of joint stiffness, traumatic arthritis and other complications;(2)There is no significant difference in the elbow joint range of motion between the two groups of patients in the early postoperative period. The long-term results show that the parallel plate group is better than the vertical double plate group in terms of flexion range of motion, and can provide a larger flexion angle;(3)Postoperative The modified An and Morrey functional scores and Mayo functional scores showed that the total scores of the two groups were not statistically significant, but the parallel group was better than the vertical group in terms of stability.
