Objective(s):To evaluate the clinical cases of facial autologous fat transplantation in Department of plastic surgery, the first affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, and to estimate the value of autologous fat transplantation in facial rejuvenation. Methods:A retrospective analysis was made in a series of 30 patients who underwent autologous fat granule transplantation in the Department of plastic surgery of the first affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from 2015 to September 2020.The operation taboos were excluded and the operation consent form was signed. The filling sites of the patients were recorded before operation and the photos were taken.According to the proposed filling amount and combined with the wishes of the patients, the medial thigh and lower abdomen were selected as the fat donor area. The syringe aspiration method was used to obtain fat during the operation, and the static method was used to purify the fat.According to the principle of multi-point,multi-layer and multi-tunnel,the fat particles were evenly transplanted to the filling area. The complications were recorded within 3 months. If the depressed area is not fully repaired 3 months after the first injection, the second transplantation will be carried out.The patients were reexamined 3 months after operation and were photographed and kept on file.Peer non-surgical doctors compared the photos before and 3 months after operation to evaluate the effective rate, and investigated the patients’ satisfaction with the effect of operation, complications and quality of life in the form of questionnaire. The score table was made according to the depression degree and shape of each position, and the scores of the patients were compared before and 3 months after operation by fellow non-operative physicians. The data were analyzed by SPSS26.0 statistical software.Rank sum test was used for comparison before and after operation. Results:There were 30 patients, including 29 females and 1 male, aged from 17 to 56,with an average age of(31.77±8.05)years.Among them, there were 1 patient under 20 years old,12 patients aged 30 years old,12 patients aged 30 years old,4 patients aged 40 years old and 1 patient over 50 years old. There were 25 patients under 40 years old, accounting for 83.3%.During the 3-month follow-up,9 patients were required to be treated with secondary transplantation. No serious complications such as infection, fat liquefaction and necrosis, nodules and fat embolism occurred in all patients.Three months after operation, the effective rate of peer non-surgical physicians was 93.3%;the satisfaction rate of patients with surgical effect, complications and quality of life was 70%,86.7%and 96.7%,respectively.Three months after operation, the depression degree and shape scores of temporal, zygomatic, buccal, nasolabial sulcus and lacrimal sulcus were lower than those before operation(P<0.05),but the scores of forehead and chin had no significant difference compared with those before operation(P>0.05).Conclusion(s):Facial autologous fat transplantation has high safety and few complications.it has a good effect on the shaping of temporal, zygomatic and cheek, but poor on chin.
