Objective: To investigate the quality of life of diabetic patients and their main caregivers in Dali area by questionnaire,to explore the influence of physiological, psychological and social factors on their quality of life, and to discuss the methods and measures to improve the quality of life of diabetic patients and their main caregivers. Methods: the data of this study were collected by questionnaire, different questionnaires were used for different groups, and the general data of diabetic patients were collected by chronic disease questionnaire: Euro Qol five dimensions The adjusted diabetes quality of life measure(a-dqol)was used when the specific problems of diabetic patients were involved. The family burden scale of disease(FBS),social support rating scale(SSRs)and the MOS 36 item short form health survey(SF-36)were used to investigate the main caregivers. The diabetic patients and their main caregivers who met the inclusion criteria were selected from the Department of Endocrinology, inpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University, outpatient clinic and community health service centers with chronic disease management ability in Dali Prefecture.SPSS 21.0 professional data analysis tool was used for data analysis. In single factor analysis,t test was used for data with normal distribution and homogeneity of variance.Multiple regression method was used to analyze the problems of patients in specific domain dimensions(such as FBS,SSRs,SF-36).a= 0.05,P < 0.05 was defined as statistically significant.Results:(1)among the patients, the scores of quality of life of the patients with high age, only oral hypoglycemic drugs, more hospitalization times and high medical costs were low, while the scores of quality of life of the patients with married, insulin injection,self-care ability, less hospitalization times,no complications and community visits were high. The average scores in various fields of diabetic patients were 11.33 ± 2.02 in physiological field,13.34 ± 1.70 in psychological and spiritual field,12.23 ± 2.21 in social support field, and 15.22 ± 3.65 in environmental field, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05)(2)among the main caregivers, the higher the age,the longer the care time, the lower the score of quality of life, the higher the education level and the better understanding of the disease The deeper the degree, the higher the score. There were significant differences between the main caregivers and their overall evaluation of quality of life in the fields of physical, psychological, social and environmental support(P < 0.05).Conclusion:(1)the comprehensive scores of each index dimension of quality of life of diabetic patients and their main caregivers in disease treatment are lower than the average value of international standards(53.2),indicating that their overall level of quality of life is relatively low.(2)Diabetic patients with poor blood glucose control and more complications have lower scores, and caregivers with low scores in social support and other fields have poor quality of life.We should care for the main caregivers while controlling blood glucose for patients.(3)More attention should be paid to the elderly, those who do not have the ability to take care of themselves, those who are hospitalized many times and have complications. For the patients with mild condition and controllable blood glucose, more attention should be paid to encouraging the patients to follow up in the nearby community. For the main caregivers, the older they are and the longer they take care of the patients, they should pay attention to psychological counseling and regular health examination. For those with low education level and no understanding of diabetes, diabetes knowledge education should be strengthened.
