Yuanhu is a type of common Chinese herbal medicine that activates blood circulation,removes blood stasis,moves Qi and relieves pain.In recent years,Hanzhong,Shaanxi Province,as the primary Yuanhu production area,has devoted itself to the standardization of Yuanhu cultivation,developing the local standard for Yuanhu and laying the groundwork for the scale and mechanization of Yuanhu harvesting.However,the current harvesting method of Yuanhu is still mainly based on manual digging and harvesting,which has problems such as high labor intensity,low efficiency and long harvesting cycle,which leads some growers to harvest early in order to seize the farming season,and most of the Yuanhu harvested in advance is not fully mature,with high water content,low accumulation of dry matter after sun-drying and low content of effective medicinal ingredients,which seriously affects the quality and yield of dried Yuanhu;The harvesting machine can improve the harvesting efficiency and shorten the harvesting cycle instead of manual work,but there are problems such as low separation rate of medicine and soil,large and heavy machine,and high soil content.The high soil content in Yuanhu can lead to the need for secondary screening after mechanized harvesting.Therefore,in response to the above problems,this paper focuses on solving the difficult separation of medicine and soil and high soil content,and designs two different solutions for small Yuanhu harvesters,and analyzes and compares the layout methods and advantages and disadvantages of key components in the two design solutions to determine the final design solution to be studied.The main research contents of which are as follows:(1)According to the planting width and tuber distribution of Yuanhu,some basic parameters of the Yuanhu harvester were determined,with a harvesting width of 0.8m and a maximum operating depth of 0.16m;and with reference to the operating speed of other root crop harvesters,a reasonable operating speed range of 3km/h≤vm≤4.83km/h was determined to be suitable for small Yuanhu harvesters.(2)Through the research and analysis of root crop harvesting machinery at home and abroad,the key components of small Yuanhu harvesters,such as digging shovel,lifting and screening device,soil crushing device,throwing up and screening device and collection box,which directly act on the harvesting object Yuanhu,were analyzed,designed and calculated,and the structure and parameters of these five key components were determined,taking into account the agronomic and harvesting requirements of Yuanhu.(3)In response to the bottleneck problem of low soil separation rate in the mechanized harvesting process of Yuanhu,the principle of throwing and sieving soil separation was studied,and the performance analysis of the designed throwing and sieving device was carried out using Adams software to verify the rationality of the design parameters of the device and to determine the feasibility of using the throwing and sieving principle for soil separation and sieving transmission.(4)The model is supplemented by adding Yuanhu particles to the entrance of the simulation model of the tossing and screening device and setting the corresponding parameters of Yuanhu;simulating the movement of Yuanhu particles into the tossing and screening device and determining that the device can achieve the tossing and separation and transfer screening of Yuanhu particles when the speed is 240r/min.
