| Hyphantria cunea(Lepidoptera,Erebidae)is a major invasive alien pest.At present,in the south of China has reached the south bank of the Yangtze River, the north has passed the northern suburbs of Changchun, spread to 13 provinces, cities and 598 counties, and there is still a trend of outward spread, causing great economic losses to China ’s forestry. In order to control H.cunea effectively,H.cunea and its two prey host plants(Ulmus Pumila,Fraxinus mandshurica.)and one non-host plant(Larix olgensis.)were studied in this paper. The plant volatiles with biological activity to the adult of H.cunea were determined by GC-EAD.GCMS,EAG,Y-tube olfactometer, wind tunnel and other instruments,in order to lay a theoretical foundation for the development of repellent or attractant of H.cunea The main results are as follows:1.Among the natural volatiles collected from Fraxinus mandshurica,Ulmus pumila and Larix olgensis,10 kinds of volatiles with biological activity against adults of H.cunea were identified.Among them,β-Pinene,β-Phellandrene,3-Carene,1,3-Dimethylbenzene.1,4Dimethylbenzene,P-Cymene,P-Cymen-7-ol,3-Ethylacetophenone and 4-Ethylacetophenone were the common active volatiles of the three plants, and the content was the highest at 2:00 pm-6:00 pm and the lowest at 10:00 pm-2:00 am,showing a trend of increasing in daytime and decreasing at night.(+)-α-Pinene was higher in the volatiles of Larix olgensis.but not detected or very low in Fraxinus mandshurica and Ulmus pumila. Moreover, the content of volatiles of H.cunea was the highest at 10:00 am-2:00 pm and the lowest at 2:00 am-6:00 am,showing a trend of low content in the daytime and obvious increase at night.2.Through EAG electrophysiological behavior determination,it was found that the concentrations of 3-Carene,β-Phellandrene,α-Pinene,3-Ethylacetophenone,and 4Ethylacetophenone in the above 10 active volatiles were positively correlated with the EAG relative reaction values of females, males, and mated females, and the EAG relative reaction values of uncrossed females were significantly different from those of uncrossed males.However,1,4-Dimethylbenzene,1,3-Dimethylbenzene and P-Cymene only caused the EAG relative response values of males and mated females to increase significantly with the concentration;the relative response value of β-Pinene to EAG only increased significantly with the concentration.H.cunea had no significant response to P-Cymen-7-ol.3.The Y-type olfactometer showed that 3-Carene had significant aboriginal attraction to females, males and mated females of H.cunea.However,1,3-Dimethylbenzene had significant aboriginal attractant effect on males and females. With the increase in the concentrations of βPhellandrene and 4-Ethylacetophenone,both females and males of H.cunea were significantly repelled, but no significant repellency was observed for the mated females.P-Cymene and 1,4Dimethyl benzene had significant attraction to female and male moths(P<0.05),but had no obvious attraction to mated female moths.4.In the determination of wind tunnel simulation behavior,it was found that different concentrations of 3-Carene had significant aboriginal attraction to females, males and mated female, while 1,3-Dimethylbenzene only had significant aboriginal attraction to uncrossed females and males. In this study,10 kinds of active volatiles were identified. The results showed that 3Carene and 1,3-Dimethylbenzene had attractant effect on H.cunea, and played a key role in the process of H.cunea looking for host plants. And β-Phellandrene and 4-Ethylacetophenone play a repellent effect on H.cunea, which provides a theoretical basis for the development of plant attractants or repellents to control H.cunea. |
