Research On The Impact Of Agricultural Technical Training On Farmers’ Safe Application

Food safety is a major public health problem worldwide.It is not only related to economic development,but also plays a vital role in social stability.The safety of agricultural products is the source of food safety and the foundation for ensuring food safety.Farmers are driven by the pursuit of maximizing economic benefits,and often put unreasonable chemicals in the production process,especially for cash crops.In order to ensure the source of food quality and safety,it is urgent to encourage growers to adopt safe production practices.In this paper,under the guidance of the theory of technology diffusion and the opportunism of farmers applying pesticides,based on a systematic review of relevant research results,the impact of agricultural technology training on the safe application of citrus farmers is studied,and the farmers in Sichuan citrus suitable areas are used.The field survey data and information of the field,in-depth analysis of the current status and problems of agricultural technology training and pesticide application behavior of citrus growers,using the IV-Probit model to empirically analyze the impact of citrus farmers’agricultural technology training on their safe pesticide application behavior,and finally draw relevant Conclusions and recommendations.The study found that farmers who have been trained in pesticide application knowledge and application techniques are more inclined to adopt safe and scientific agricultural production methods^[3-4],and agricultural technology training is the agricultural production skills and theoretical knowledge that farmers have in the agricultural production process Important ways^[5],gender,planting years,agricultural income share,and government regulations will have a significant impact on citrus farmers’participation in agricultural technology training and safe production behavior.Based on the results,this article makes four policy recommendations.First,improve the knowledge quality of agricultural science and technology personnel in government departments and improve agricultural cooperative organizations;The second is to formulate training content according to the training target and improve the training mechanism of the agricultural science and technology department;The third is to formulate the training content according to the training target and give full play to the government’s leading power;The fourth is to enhance service awareness and establish a scientific training evaluation system.
