In order to eliminate the negative impact of concentrated discharge of potato starch processing juice on the environment in the mountainous area of southern Ningxia, and promote its resource utilization, ensure the healthy development of the potato industry and increase the income of farmers in the mountainous area.In this study, peppers were used as the research object, and no fertilizer was used as the blank control. After the potato starch processing juice and its compound nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium elements were set,the application amount of drip irrigation of different liquid fertilizers and the direct return of the juice to the field had effects on soil chemical properties and soil enzyme activities.,Biological properties,as well as the effects of crop growth, photosynthetic characteristics, yield and quality, determine the best drip irrigation amount according to the moderate target yield, and find out the best application rate and use technology of potato juice for dominant crops, with a view to processing potato starch in the mountainous area of southern Ningxia Juice return to the field provides theoretical basis for the utilization of irrigation resources. The main findings are as follows:(1)Potato starch processing juice water returned to the field for irrigation all increased the soil water content, alkali hydrolyzable nitrogen, organic matter, available phosphorus, available potassium, total nitrogen and total phosphorus content in 0~60 cm soil layer to varying degrees, gradually as the soil depth increased At the same time,it can increase the activities of soil invertase, urease, catalase, alkaline phosphatase and soil microbial biomass carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus content. The juice irrigation rate is 1500 m3/hm2,which has the best effect.(2)After drip irrigation of potato starch processing juice,it can increase soil ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, available potassium, available phosphorus, organic matter and soil enzyme activity in 0~40 cm soil layer, and at the same time promote pepper growth, increase yield and quality. The juice drip irrigation rate of 30000 kg/hm2 had the best effect on the plant height, stem thickness, ground and underground dry matter quality,SPAD value, transpiration rate, intercellular CO2 concentration and stoma conductance of pepper, and at the same time increased the yield and quality of pepper.(3)After the potato starch processing juice is mixed with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, drip irrigation can also increase the soil organic matter, alkaline nitrogen, available phosphorus, available potassium, soil urease, and fiber in the 0~40 cm soil layer under the condition of 1/10 juice drip irrigation. The activities of peptidase and catalase increased significantly with the increase of application rate;while the drip irrigation rate of 75000 kg/hm2 after mixing N,P,and K of juice increased the soil microbial bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes in the 0~40 cm soil layer. The quantity and soil microbial biomass carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus content can also promote the growth of peppers and improve the quality and photosynthetic characteristics of peppers.
