Interception Of Exotic Ants And Surveys Of Ant Species At Gaoming Port

The invasion of alien organisms is an important issue in the development of international economic and trade development and tourism transportation industry.The seaport is an important way for many species to invade.The analysis of intercepted alien species data at the port and the surrounding surveys help to understand and prevent the risk of biological invasion.This study conducted a statistical analysis of the interception of ants from Gaoming port during the period from 2014 to 2017.Based on the risk analysis of important species,the ant community was investigated by trapping and trapping methods,and the prevention of alien ants through port invasion was established.The main results are as follows: 1.Interception of foreign ants at Gaoming PortIn the past 4 years,Gaoming Port has intercepted 609 batches of ants from foreign countries,mainly from Southeast Asian countries.Among them,the highest frequency of interception is chest odor ants,and many types of dangerous ants such as fire ants and fine ants are also intercepted.Field investigations found that red fire ants are the dominant species in the port ant community,and there are also invasive species such as black-headed acid ants and long-horned ants.This study shows that the possibility of foreign ants passing through the seaport is very high.Strengthening quarantine work and monitoring near the port will help to grasp the dynamics of ant invasion in time.2.Diversity of ant communities in Gaoming PortBased on the integrated trap method and the bait trapping method,seven kinds of ants were collected at three ports of Gaoming Port,belonging to three subfamilies and six genera.In terms of quantity,fire red ants account for nearly two-thirds of the total collection.In addition,species with important risks such as long-horned ants,black-headed odor ants and tropical fire ants were also investigated and collected at Gaoming Port.By investigating the diversity of ant colony species in the port and conducting risk analysis on the collected important dangerous ants,it has guiding significance for formulating strategies for preventing foreign ants invasion and efficient ant quarantine.3.Prevention of alien ant invasion strategy in Gaoming PortBased on the results of intercepting ant data analysis and port ant community diversity survey in four years,it is believed that the risk of alien ants spreading and spreading through ports is greater,and it is necessary to strengthen the importance of port quarantine.The prevention strategies include improving the ant quarantine appraisal process and method,improving the ant quarantine and identification technology and system level,strengthening the ant epidemic monitoring system,strengthening the quarantine system construction and technical team construction,and determining the key areas of ant quarantine and quarantine.Pests and strengthen quarantine links and cooperation with other countries on ants.
