There are a large number of opencast coal mines in our country,most of which are located in the north of our country.There are a large number of large mining resources in the vast area of Inner Mongolia,and the exploitation of them has caused damage to the fragile grassland ecosystem in Inner Mongolia,and the ecosystem recovery in these arid and semi-arid areas is very difficult,and the delay in solving the problems will also have an impact on the surrounding environment.Therefore,as the focus of research,the study of vegetation evolution process plays a crucial role in the study of the ecological restoration of the drainage site,Which provides a scientific theoretical basis for the sustainable development of the open-pit coal mine grassland ecosystem and plays a positive role in the coordinated development of society and economy.Based on field species surveys and OLI image interpretation of satellite Landsat 8 in 2002,2013,and 2017,and normalized vegetation index(NDVI)analysis,four typical open-pit coal mines in the central and western Inner Mongolia,The plant cover status of the dump was analyzed mathematically and statistically.The results showed:(1)Four typical open-pit coal mines in central and western Inner Mongolia are located in Wuhailashan,Ordos and central and western Inner Mongolia.Due to different geographical locations,climatic,hydrological and environmental factors,their structures are different,their environments are different,and their plant populations vary greatly,from the survey results,the plant species in the mining area increased gradually from west to east.There are 3 kinds of plants in Alxa West Coal Mine Dump,3 kinds of plants in Wuhaiyuanxing Coal Mine Dump,8 kinds of plants in Heidaigou coal mine dump and 10 kinds of plants in Shengli No.1 Coal Mine Dump in Xilingol.(2)As the dump sites in the four mining areas are all in arid and semi-arid areas,the overall level of NDVI is low.(3)by remote sensing,the vegetation coverage rate of alshantai west open-pit coal mine,Wuhai yuan-xing open-pit coal mine,Ordos Heidaigou coal mine and Xilinhaote Shengli No.1 coal mine in 2001-2017 was 65.1%-27.0%-27.1% ?77.2%-17.1%-10.3%?17.3%-31.4%-33.2%?39.9%-56.4%-38.9%,respectively.(4)The land cover and vegetation coverage in the three satellite image periods has the same trend.The results of this study are intended to provide a reference for the construction of green mines in ecologically fragile areas.
