A Study On The Efficiency And Influencing Factors Of Logistics Industry In Zhejiang Province

Zhejiang Province is located on the coast of the East China Sea and the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta.The economic development of the province is fast,and most of the economic indicators reach the leading level in the country.It is an important node to promote the high quality economic development of our country and to realize the accelerated integration with all countries and regions of the world.With the execution of the "eight-eighth Strategy",the accelerated flow of factors of essential productive and resources will increase the demand for logistics in our province,and the logistics industry has thus embraced in a period of development opportunities.As an important index to measure the comprehensive competitiveness of a country or region,the efficiency of logistics industry directly reflects its development.Based on this,it is of great significance to explore the efficiency of logistics industry and its elements which influenced in Zhejiang Province.Taking various cities of Zhejiang Province as the study object,this paper first summarizes the research findings of logistics efficiency at home and abroad to have a general idea of relative theories,and then elaborates the development status of logistics industry in Zhejiang Province.Then the Malmquist TFP exponent method and data envelopment analysis(DEA)method are applied to research the logistics industry efficiency of Zhejiang Province.Specifically,first of all,using the Malmquist TFP exponent method to analyze the changes of total factor productivity and its resolution efficiency in 31 municipality and provinces in China,and to know the ranking of logistics industry in Zhejiang Province in the national TFP exponent;secondly,using the DEA model,the pure technical efficiency value,scale efficiency value and integrative efficiency value of logistics industry in Zhejiang are estimated,and the production front projection analysis of logistics industry efficiency in 2019 is carried out.Finally,apply the Tobit regression model,this paper explores which factors will affect the efficiency of logistics industry in Zhejiang Province and brings forward the way to deal with situations and proposals.The findings suggest that the total factor productivity of Zhejiang Province has been comparatively smooth and steady in the last decade and is in the top position in the national ranking.When analyzing the change of logistics efficiency in time series,it is found that the overall TFP of Zhejiang Province is wave changing trend.The overall efficiency value of logistics industry in Zhejiang Province is in a high state,the average value of comprehensive technical efficiency is 0.867,but it does not achieve the leading edge horizontal,which indicates that the efficiency of logistics industry in Zhejiang Province has not been optimized at present,and the future development trend is good.Specific to each city,Zhejiang Province each city logistics industry efficiency has the big difference,Ningbo,Huzhou,Zhoushan and Taizhou logistics efficiency has reached the relative optimal,but Quzhou,Shaoxing,Wenzhou has the input redundancy and the output insufficiency phenomenon,indicates that the logistics resources have not been fully and effectively utilized.By analyzing the contributing elements of logistics industry efficiency in Zhejiang Province,it is found that the standard of economic growth,industrial structure,regional superiority,manpower resources and community consumption have noticeable impacts.Finally,in light of the questions subsistent in the hodiernal development of logistics industry in Zhejiang Province,connected with the practical development of Zhejiang Province,this thesis brings forward some measures and suggestions to facilitate the efficiency of logistics industry from the ways of enhancing the construction of logistics basic establishments,making the standard of economic growth better,optimizing the layout of secondary and tertiary industries,giving full play to the advantages of location,paying attention to the cultivation of professionals and raising the level of social consumption.
