Abstract/Summary:
As researchers, engineers, and educators try to develop and integrate broadband wireless into their projects, they face some obstacles. First, they find they need a well-educated and trained work force acquainted with broadband wireless technology. Secondly, they are in need of data that will keep them abreast of the types and levels of broadband wireless technology currently being utilized.;To help researchers, engineers, and educators in their effort to develop broadband wireless technology, this study assessed current levels and types of broadband wireless technology in the millimeter wave band. These data can be used to assist educators in developing necessary programs and curricula to meet the needs of local companies.;A randomly selected survey sample was obtained from the population of companies, organizations, and associations who are interested broadband wireless. The data revealed all major levels and types of broadband wireless technology are represented by researchers, engineers, and educators who are interested in the development of broadband wireless.
