Research And Implementation Of The Broadband Angle Tracking Receiver Of Millimeter Wave Band

Millimeter-wavehas the characteristics of the serious attenuation that propagates in the atmosphere. The millimeter Inter-Satellite Link (ISL) is easy to implement the secret communication due to the interference of electromagnetic wave can be absorbed in the atmosphere and the signal cannot be intercepted by the unauthorized users. With the increasing of the working frequency, the beam-width of the antenna becomes narrow. Due to this, the space antenna should be pointed accurately to the target satellite. Depend only on the technology of programmed tracking, cannot acquire the requirement of antenna pointing accuracy. By using the technology of automatic capturing and tracking to construct the ISL becomes the development trend. And also, the angle tracking receiver is the key equipment of autotracking system.In this paper, the autotracking system, single channel monopulse autotracking system and angle tracking receiver are investigated, firstly. And also, based on analyzing the key indicators and the implementing approach of the broadband angle tracking receiver, the radio frequency front-end module is designed. The method of angle error signal pick-up from the wide-band signal is studied. Finally, the radio frequency front-end is developed, debugged and measured. The hardware platform based on the Field (FPGA) is constructed, and the demodulation of the angle error signal is realized on the platform. The performance of the receiver is tested in detail, and the experimental data is obtained. The results show that, the scheme of the receiver is feasible and correct.
