This final project for the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies at Empire State College, the State University of New York, is a creative exploration of the relationships between education, community, and social change. The author explores these issues through short fiction, persuasive essays, and photography. In particular, this project focuses on the need for dialogical education to work toward the building of participatory communities, which attempt to make significant social change in the world. The photos and stories invite readers to meditate on the issues at hand, while the essays present explicit discussions of the author's views. |
