Abstract/Summary:
An accessible work flow for the alternative media productions on accessible IT which is focused on a synchronized captioning for both speech and written language on a video is an application which is vital for the students with disabilities. A medium is called accessible media if and only if the medium is Operable, Perceivable, Understandable, and Robust using a computer program. Alternative media can be defined as a media format which is used by people with a particular disability. An Audio video captured lecture is a vital accessible technology for individuals with hearing impairment. The workflow for the alternative media and synchronize captioning for both speech and written language on a class lecture video is an application of a computer and human interface. The team of professors and students worked on the designed workflow with software like Dragon Naturally Speaking 9.0 and Camtasia Studio 4.0. The final analysis will emphasize on the efficiency of the workflow, cost and time effectiveness, section 508 compliance.
