China has become the power of industrial production and consumption in the world after the rapid development of its economy for nearly 40 years.Many multinational companies see abundance of business opportunities and low labor costs in China,and then proactively invest in China.They build factories or set up subsidiaries in China.Fasteners are essential parts for industrial production,which are popularly used in automobile manufacturing,oil extraction and energy power generation,aviation manufacturing and other industries.Demand for fasteners is huge in international and domestic market,which attracts many competitors.They are China domestic manufactures and foreign fastener distributors.They have their own core competencies and work together to promote the prosperity of the Chinese market.Domestic manufacturers have absolute advantages in cost,but focus on middle or low-end products in the market and the production scale is small.They need to upgrade the industrial structure,encourage technological innovation,improve products' quality and the added value,enhance productivity and efficiency,form fastener producers cluster,and establish China-made brand.However,most of the foreign distributors who have entered the Chinese market are industry leaders with billions of dollars in annual sales.They have decades of experience in operation and management,multi-channel integration of resources,supply of high-quality products and services,continuous technical innovation and service model optimization.Although the cost of single-category products is not dominant,but their ability to integrate resources and implement differentiated competition will contribute to their smooth development in the Chinese market.As an international distributor,F Company is developing its business in China quickly.The company continues to expand with sales growth.This paper chooses F Company as the research object,and uses Porter five force model,SWOT method,and value chain method to analyze the operation and competitiveness of F company,then points out current problems encountered F company.The analysis covers several aspects:internal and external market environment,F Company's advantages and disadvantages,the competitive pressures and personnel management problems in the operation process.Finally,based on the assessment of F company,this paper proposed three solutions to help F company to overcome the development bottleneck.First,optimize the value chain to save costs;second,strengthen and create the advantages of business modules to achieve differentiation;third,improve the incentive mechanism to attract and retain talents.This paper hopes that the analysis and solutions proposed can play a reference and guidance role for F Company to develop business in China.
