Research on user information needs has always been a research hotspot in the field of information science.However,there are few studies on information needs of young children.As preschoolers of information vulnerable groups,how to realize and meet their information needs is related to the personal growth and development of preschoolers.Based on this,this paper takes developmental psychology as the theoretical basis,and sets the questionnaire items,interviews and observation outlines with reference to Maslow's hierarchical theory of information needs,and through the above research methods and preschoolers' reading books to understand the status quo of preschoolers' information needs.We find that the realization and satisfaction of preschoolers' information needs are affected by three major factors: physical,psychological and environmental.Therefore,on the basis of this,starting from the main information service subjects such as families,kindergartens,and public libraries,this paper puts forward some suggestions and strategies to meet the daily information needs of preschoolers to promote the healthy growth of preschoolers.
