When drilling in a horizontal well,the drill string is subjected to a variety of complex stresses in the wellbore.If the drill string is subjected to force more than it can withstand,it will have a greater risk of drilling,Not only will the drill string lose its ability to continue drilling,it may also lead to more serious drilling accidents.Therefore,while the horizontal well drilling technology is becoming more and more mature,the drill string safety requirements in drilling operations are also increasing.The mechanical behavior of the drill string such as severe buckling and fatigue fracture is due to its stress exceeding the strength limit of the drill string.In order to ensure the safety of the drill string in horizontal well drilling,the mechanical behavior of the drill string is monitored and analyzed in real time to reduce the risk of fatigue fracture of the drill string.Therefore,this paper proposes a method for real-time monitoring and analysis of the mechanical behavior of drill string in horizontal well based on the measurement parameters of the surface instrument,and has achieved the following results:1.Designed and developed a real-time monitoring and analysis system for mechanical behavior of horizontal drill string,supporting ground instrumentation and data acquisition systems,realizing the real-time collection and transmission of relevant ground parameters,and monitoring the ground parameters to drill The mechanical behavior of the column is monitored to ensure that the drill string satisfies the requirements for fatigue strength and safety factor in the drilling work and guarantees the safety of the drill string.2.Evaluated and analyzed the engineering adaptability of the horizontal well drill string mechanical behavior,determine the relevant ground monitoring parameters,such as hook load,t orque,well depth,rpm.Relying on this,complete the technical program design of real-time monitoring of the mechanical behavior of the horizontal drill string.3.Through the study of the S-N fatigue curve of the drill string's mechanical behavior,analysis of the relationship between the fatigue life of the drill string and the sress.according to the established ground monitoring parameters and the researched literature,a drill string mechanical behavior monitoring model was established.and based on the real drilling data,the model was si:mulated.The analysis.combined with actual drilling experience and theoretical analysis,verified the feasibility of the established model.4.Based on the relevant ground monitoring parameters and monitoring technology plans,the relevant hardware support for the real-time monitoring and analysis system for the mechanical behavior of the horizontal drill string xwas completed.Independently designed and developed a database of supporting real-time monitoring and analysis system for the mechanical behavior of drill string in horizontal wells,and developed related data acquisition systems in accordance with wellsite information transmission specifications,providing data support for real-time monitoring and analysis of drill string mechanical behavior;5.Developed a real-time monitoring and analysis software system for horizontal well drill string mechanical behavior,and conducted a field test and application of the system in a horizontal well.The results show that the system is stable in operation.The demand for the monitoring and analysis of the mechanical behavior of the drill string in a horizontal well has been achieved.The safety factor and fatigue strength of the drill string can be accurately monitored,and the safety of the drill string under current drilling conditions is analyzed.The real-time monitoring and analysis system for the mechanical behavior of drill string in horizontal wells developed in this paper is based on surface measurement instruments,which reduces the cost of drilling,accurately monitors the stress of the drill string,and analyzes the safety coefficient and strength of the drill string,which has a good application value.
