Students will inevitably encounter some difficult and confusing problems in the process of learning.Many learners will choose to ask others for help.As an autonomous learning strategy,academic help-seeking can help students solve the problems they encounter in learning.Academic help-seeking is a kind of social interaction behavior of learners seeking help from others.Peer relationship and students' self-esteem level have a significant impact on students' help-seeking behavior.Therefore,this study studies the willingness and behavior of academic help-seeking from two dimensions of students' self-esteem and peer relationship.The research object of this paper is junior high school students,who are in a critical adolescence.Understanding the relationship between different academic help-seeking behaviors,self-esteem and peer relationship is helpful to promote and help junior high school students better adapt to school life,reduce students' learning inadaptability,and provide relevant theories for educators.Support.A total of 544 questionnaires from urban and rural junior high school students in Weifang were selected.A total of 540 valid questionnaires were collected to explore the relationship among academic help-seeking,peer relationship and self-esteem of urban and rural junior high school students.(1)The level of self-esteem of junior middle school students is obviously different between urban and rural areas,and the level of self-esteem of urban junior middle school students is significantly higher than that of rural students;there are obvious gender differences in peer relationship of junior middle school students,and the peer relationship of girls is better than that of boys;there are significant gender differences in the quality of Academic Help-Seeking of urban junior middle school students,and girls are better than boys.(2)The self-esteem level of junior high school students is positively correlated with tool-seeking,negatively correlated with executive help-seeking and avoidance of help-seeking,positively correlated with Peer-Acceptance and tool-seeking,and negatively correlated with executive help-seeking and avoidance of help-seeking.(3)The self-esteem level and peer relationship quality of junior high school students can significantly predict the quality of academic help-seeking.(4)The peer relationship of junior high school students partially mediates between self-esteem level and academic help-seeking.
