The Study Of Female University Students Media Images

With the deepening of China’s higher education reform,the amount of Female University Students gets bigger and bigger.And,the proportion of female master’s and doctoral is rising.When graduating from school,they went and play an irreplaceable role in the professional fields. However, the number of the negative news which related to female college students is always high. Besides,when the news of the female college students,the media would highlight their gender identity. The words ——Female University Students have another round of profound meaning between public conversations. During the formation of this impression, the mass media play an important role.To explore the media presentation of the Female University Students,I take Beijing Youth Daily as sample, and analysis the decade of the Beijing Youth Daily from 2005 to 2014 reports that in relation to Female University Students, from the view of the feminist,using gender theory. It found that the reports about female college students will deliberate the negative news reports,and the mass media paid too much attention to the private lives of Female University Students. Media images of the Female University Students were focused on: kind, obedient, delicate good girl; the insulted and the injure d person; sensual and fragile, shallow vanity; unpopular job seekers. Through in-depth analysis of the sample, it found that media coverage of female college students were full of stereotypes.Injury and sex is the most important reported issues in these coverages.And the Female University Students is still as the other and stared. Caused this phenomenon is mainly due to the influence of the patriarchal society, the pursuit of commercial interests with the news media, the lack of professional spirit and the value and the problems of female college students.As we all know, the rigid rendering of the female university students improper construction which would bring many negative impacts.On the one hand, the media image of the female college students affect themselves judgment and cognition, not conducive to the growth and development of female college students.On the other hand, the media cared too much about the private lives of female college students which would cause the real image of female college students masked and public attention was transferred to the "yellow journalism", and the seriousness of the news reduced. More importantly, however, these reports which cater to and booster for the judgment of male and feminine qualitative in the patriarchal society. It is not good for the gender equality of the society. And in a social structure,when women tend to be treated as a kind of erotic representation rather than the individual, the deprivation of women means that all women may be the loss of wealth, family, property, power and status.
