School Education Research And Reflections Under The Imperial Examination System In The Tang Dynasty

The Tang Dynasty was one of the most prosperous dynasties in the history of China.At the same time,as the main method of "talent selection" in the Tang Dynasty,the imperial examination system entered a relatively perfect stage in the Tang Dynasty.The theme of this paper is the research and reflection on the education in schools under the imperial examination of the tang dynasty.By studying the imperial examination system and education system in the Tang Dynasty,we have obtained some inspirations which are beneficial to the development of education and the cultivation of talents.The first chapter of this paper mainly discusses the establishment of the imperial examination system,and the source of examinees.On the basis of the foreword,the author analyzes the characteristics of the imperial examination system.We believe that the imperial examination system has the characteristics of selection,systematicness,path-breaking and directivity.Moreover,the author does not only analyze the subject setting and characteristics of the imperial examination system,but also discuss the relationship between the imperial examination system and education.We believe that the imperial examination system has opened the door to the selection of talents,and schools are the places to cultivate talents.They both echo and influence each other.The second chapter of this paper focuses on the analysis and discussion of education and its characteristics,which is the key part of this thesis.The construction of education system in the Tang Dynasty is a process of alternating between prosperity and decline,which is continuously developed and perfected.It has experienced the initial creation of the Tang Gao Zu's period;the development of the Li Shi Min's period;the improvement of the Li Zhi's period;the decay of Wu Ze Tian's period;and the modification of li Dan's period.In the end,formed a mature system,which consisted of central authority and local authority.By studying the establishment,course,length of schooling,teachers,examination and other rules of official school of the Tang Dynasty,we have summarized the characteristics of the education system,that is,one core,two concerns,three features and some shortcomings.The third chapter is the analysis and interpretation based on the content of the first two chapters.This chapter is divided into three parts,the first part is about the current history teaching,the second part is for today's college entrance examination reform revelation,the last part is about enlightenment in today's school education.These Revelations are based on the experience of education in the Tang Dynasty.The author supposes that by analyzing the connection between the imperial examination system and the establishment of the school,we can get a lot of useful references to help us avoid mistakes.In the face of reforming the college entrance examination,we should lower the influence of test results on the fate of people and enhance the validity of examination;stick to the fairness of education and promote the quality of education;correctly use of the "baton" to deepen education reform.During the course reform,we should consider expanding education scope and implementing the talent strategy;strengthen external exchanges and improve cultural soft power;strengthen morality education,improve the moral quality of talents.Moreover,we should pay more attention to the investigation of teachers' quality and improve the status of teachers'.Seeing history as a mirror,we can learn from it.The education thought of the Tang Dynasty is like a mirror,which provides us with more opportunities for self-examination and help for our education reform.
