【Objective】During the whole period of year 2006 to 2016,the most widely used prescription of This study aims to provide a reference for the promotion of traditional Chinese medicine in the UK and Europe by providing a summary of the traditional Chinese medicine prescription analysis system under the guidance of TCM prescription compatibility theory and data mining technology.【Method】This study uses data mining technology such as pairing combination frequency count,correlations and cluster analysis through a series of statistical analysis of data collection,classification,standardization integration,Data selection,pre-processing and format conversion were also carried out.【Results】1.According to the sales statistics of formulas in the UK from year 2006 to 2010 shows that there are 28 tonics out of 100 commonly used formulas,accounting for 28%.The top five formula sales were Jia Wei Xiao Yao San,Gui Pi Tang,Liu Wei Di Huang Wan,Xiao Yao San and Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang.2.The sales statistical data of single herbs shows that during the period of year 2011 to 2016,the the top 31 popular single herbs were Bai Shao,Fu Ling,Huang Qi,Dang Gui,Gan Cao,Bai Zhu,Shu Di Huang,Sheng Di Huang,Dang Shen,Shan Yao,Chai Hu,Huang Qin,Mu Dan Pi,Chuan Xiong,Chen Pi,Gui Zhi,Gou Qi Zi,Dan Shen,Yi Yi Ren,Ban Xia,He Shou Wu(Zhi),Chi Shao,Da Zao,Ze Xie,Shan Zhu Yu,Suan Zao Ren,Tu Si Zi,Xiang Fu,Mai Men Dong,Zhi Zi,Zhi Mu.3.The top five disease categories at Chinese clinics in the UK were Emotional and Insomnia,Pain and Nervous symptoms,Gynecology,Infertility,Rheumatism and Rheumatoid pain.【Conclusion】1.The most widely used prescriptions at Chinese medicine clinics in the UK between year 2006 to year 2016 were for tonic,soothing liver and regulating found in this study were tonics and also for soothing and regulating liver qi,and tranquilizing mind.The most popular single herbs were also used for tonifying qi,blood,kidney-yin and kidney-yang.2.Deficiency syndrome and depression were the most common diseases among the patients treated at Chinese medicine clinics in the UK,which was consistent with the sales statistics of both formulas and single herbs.
