Research On The Compilation Of Beijing Local Chronicles And Medical Literature

Local chronicle,is the historical material which records the information of a definite region(or administrative division),including establishment,evolution,geography,politics,economics,culture and so on.Although local chronicle hasn’t set the specific category for medicine,it still contains a wealth of medical literature,which scattering in the categories like catastrophe,figure,Fangji,art and literature,product,establishment and custom.The content involves diseases,doctors,medical works,medicinal materials,medicine organization,folk medical common and so on,it can be said that the medical literature is abundant.As early as in the Yi-Fa Fang-Yi Lun of Suwen,Chinese medicine has shown the proposition about adjusting measures to local conditions when treating diseases,researching the local medicine makes realistic significance to the development of local medicine.Local chronicle,as the most appropriate material to reflect the general situation of one region,is characterized by locality,continuity,universality,reliability.The excavation and settlement to the medical literature among local chronicles is perfect importance to the local medicine history research.Beijing,as the ancient capital of six dynasties,also represents the national medical level.Studying the historical culture of Beijing medicine,probing the factors that affect the development of Beijing medicine,can radically boost the development of Beijing medicine,and providing the model for the development of medicine across the country.This research analyzes the trait and value of medical literature among Beijing local chronicles,by excavating and teasing the medical literature among Beijing local chronicles.The research results can provide historical materials for the Beijing medicine research,and boost the development of Beijing medicine.This research utilizes the China Data Base of Local Chronicles,which is developed by Beijing Erudition Digital Technology Research Center,collecting and settling the medical literature among 13 Beijing local chronicles,including Kangxi Daxing County Chronicle,Kangxi Wanping County Chronicle,Kangxi Huairou New County Chronicle,Guangxu Changping State Chronicle,Guangxu Changping State External Chronicle,Guangxu Yanqing State Chronicle,Guangxu Shuntian-fu Chronicle,Minguo Miyun County Chronicle,Minguo Shunyi County Chronicle,Minguo Tong County Chronicle,Minguo Fangshan County Chronicle,Minguo Liangxiang County Chronicle,Minguo Pinggu County Chronicle,as well as concluding the medical literature into 8 categories,including medical administration system,disease outbreaks,doctors and celebrities,medical relics,local drugs,medical common,medical deeds and medical thesis.Imposing the multidisciplinary approach to analyze the medical literature collected from Beijing local chronicles,concluding the value and trait of them for presenting the feature of Beijing medical history.This research result shows three main trait of the medical literature among Beijing local chronicles.Firstly,medical literature shows wide range of contents,involving medical administration system,medical relics,medical common,disease outbreaks,doctors and celebrities,medical deeds,local drugs,medical thesis and so on.Secondly,medical literature shows different detail degree according to the time,region,content.From the time perspective,the later period local chronicle is more detail than the early period local chronicle.From the regional perspective,the chronicles of different region shows different detailedness to the same content.From the content perspective,local chronicles usually detailed in the narration,omitted in the theory.Thirdly,local chronicle shows abundance and accuracy when quoting the materials,like exegesis materials,medical works and historical materials,as well as the original materials,like local files,books of interviews and genealogy.Fourthly,local chronicle shows strong medical humanistic atmosphere and reflects medical humanistic phenomenon.The Beijing local chronicles show great value in two main aspects:Firstly,supplementing and enriching medical historical materials,laying the foundation of literature for local medical rsearch.Secondly,inheriting the medical history and culture,as well as providing the precious experience for the local medical health care.
