Beijing Urban Poor Medical Insurance System For Study

From the past, poverty usually gets entangled with disease. Because the family's economic condition is limited, the town poor population once falling ill, if there is no the protection of medical security system, they will can't enjoy the same medical treatment as other town income population. Some of the poor population faces a pathetic choice of taking medicine or having a meal.The main nations in the world all built up the medical security system for the poor population matching of state of the nation system. Not only the United States, England, Japan such developed nations, but India of the developing country also provided a universal but basic medical security system for the poor people. In addition, the medical aid services of Shanghai City, Guangzhou City, and The China-United Kingdom Urban Health and Poverty Project (UHPP) are the vanguards of local medical aid system experiments.This paper points out three main problems of the Beijing medical security system of impoverished population by analyzing the situation of impoverished population in ChaoYang district, then gives some policy suggestions. Besides, this paper also indicates reasons and solutions for high cost of the medical treatment in Beijing.
