Objective:To investigate the dietary nutrition status and behavior of the elderly in urban and rural old-age care institutions in Suqian City,so as to provide scientific guidance for improving the dietary and nutritional structure of the elderly and improving the quality of life.Methods:The 24-hour dietary review method,self-designed dietary behavior questionnaire and food intake frequency questionnaire were used.A total of 296 elderly people from urban and rural pension institutions in Suqian City were selected by random sampling method.The nutritional status of the elderly in nursing homes was evaluated by daily food and nutrient intake and dietary structure.The differences in nutritional status and behavior of the elderly in urban and rural elderly care institutions were compared by t-test and ANOVA Excel spreadsheet was used to establish the database,and the nutrition calculator software was used to calculate the daily nutritional intake of each elderly.SPSS 26.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis of the relevant data.The measurement data was expressed by mean x±s standard deviation.The test level was a=0.05,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.The test methods included t-test and correlation analysis.The results and conclusions of this study are as follows:In the dietary structure of the elderly in Suqian elderly care institutions,the daily intake of fat and salt of the elderly in urban and rural elderly care institutions basically meet the intake standards recommended in the guide(oil<25g,salt ?6g)?Compared with the energy intake standard of the elderly,the average energy intake of the elderly in urban elderly care institutions is relatively higher;from the food intake composition,the proportion of animal food intake of male elderly in Suqian elderly care institution is higher than that of female elderly(P<0.05),while the proportion of plant-based food consumed by female elderly is higher than that of male(P<0.05)In terms of nutritional behavior,125 elderly people had salty diet,accounting for 28.21%;193 elderly people were taking nutritional supplements,accounting for 43.56%;136 elderly people paid attention to health care products,accounting for 30.69%.According to the survey on the main ways of getting nutrition knowledge for the elderly,64(43.24%)of the elderly in urban areas have obtained knowledge mainly through newspapers and magazines;91(61.90%)have obtained knowledge through lectures;81(54.72%)have obtained knowledge mainly through newspapers and magazines.Conclusion:the nutritional status of the elderly in urban and rural old-age care institutions in Suqian City is generally good,and the dietary structure needs to be improved.The overall intake offi sh and shrimp,milk products,bean products and other food for the elderly is low,and the dietary structure is unreasonable.The overall level of nutrition knowledge is low,lack of understanding of relevant nutrition knowledge,and there are bad eating habits.Therefore,it is imperative to strengthen the nutrition and health of the elderly.In view of this situation,I mentioned some suggestions and Countermeasures to improve the nutritional status and dietary behavior of the elderly in Suqian pension institutions.We should strengthen the science education of food nutrition for the elderly in nursing homes,improve the nutrition knowledge level of the elderly,and promote them to develop reasonable eating habits.Secondly,it is suggested that the canteen of the elderly should provide a balanced diet for the elderly as far as possible.
