Purpose:To search the clinical randomized controlled trial(RCTs)literature for the treatment of Myasthenia gravis with acupuncture and moxibustion. Then using the method of Meta-analysis to evaluate the curative effect of Myasthenia gravis with acupuncture and moxibustion.Material and method:1.Literature retrieval:Using a method combination of computer search and manual search in both Chinese and English to collect RCTs for the treatment of myasthenia gravis by acupuncture. The main databases include:Chinese Traditional Chinese medicine database(from establishment to 2019.12),China National Knowledge Infrastructure full-text database(CNKI,from establishment to 2019.12),VIP Chinese publication database(VIP,from establishment to 2019.12),WANFNG data knowledge service platform(from establishment to2019.12),Chinese Biomedical Medical Database(CBM from establishment to 2019),Science Online(establishment to 2019.12)、MEDLINE(establishment to 2019.12)、PUBMED(establishment to 2019.12)。2.Judge Literature quality :The Related literature are operated by two independent research fellow. If there is a divergence, the result should be judged by the third party research stuff, such as postgraduate tutor.3.The data analysis:Using the Meta-Analysis program named Review Manager 5.3 from Cochrane to dispose the data from all the picked RCTsResults:1.After screening, there are 15 RCTs up to the standard should be include in this research. There are 1226 Myasthenia gravis patients, include in this Meta-analysis research.2.Literature quality evaluation:There are 15 literatures in this study. There are 8 of 15 literatures are high quality.3.Statistical analysis:After the merge of statistical magnitude showed:(1).Acupuncture and moxibustion combined with other therapeutic methods is generally effective in the treatment of myasthenia gravis. However,in different literatures, acupuncture and moxibustion combined different methods were used to treat the patients, and the effect of those method do not means acupuncture and moxibustion can influence the the treatment group as the only interference factors.(2).Different acupoints were selected for the patients with myasthenia gravis in literatures included in the study. All the acupoints were selected based on the experience of patient’s clinician.(3).In all the included studies, the effective rates of the treatment group was better than or equal to the control group. However, due to the interference of non-acupuncture factors in the treatment group,it could not be determined that only the acupuncture factors increased the effective rate of the treatment group. Conclusion:This meta-analysis suggested that acupuncture,as the main intervention, was generally effective in the treatment of myasthenia gravis, suggesting that the treatment group containing acupuncture factors had certain advantages.
