| Purpose:To observe the efficacy of the treatments of auricular points combined with body acupoints for short-term insomnia disorder caused by liver fire disturbing heart,so as to provide basis for further clinical application.Material and method:A total of 50 subjects will be randomly allocated in equal numbers to receive the treatments of auricular points combined with body acupoints with seirin pyonex needles(the experimental group)or body acupoints with seirin pyonex needles(the control group). Each group has 25 subjects.Follow-up evaluations will be performed on the fourth week after the treatment. At the beginning and the end of the trial, the efficacy of the therapy was evaluated by the insomnia severity index scale(ISI),Pittsburgh sleep index scale(PSQI)and Epworth sleepiness scale(ESS).SPSS 25.0 statistical software was used for data statistical analysis. Results: 1.A total of 50 subjects were included in the study and 2 cases of shedding occurred in the control group during the follow-up time.No serious adverse events occurred in the two groups 2.There were no significant differences in the comparison of general information and baseline data of the two groups(P>0.05).3.The differences of ISI and ESS within groups were significant(P<0.05).For PSQI,in the experimental group, the differences of PSQI and scores of other indictors it includes within groups were significant s(P<0.05),In the control group, there was statistical difference in PSQI and scores of other indictors it includes(P<0.05)except for the sleep efficiency score(P>0.05).The differences between groups after treatment were significant(P<0.05)in ISI and ESS.For PSQI,there were significant differences in sleep-onset latency(SOL),total sleep time(TST),daytime dysfunction(DD)and total PSQI scores(P<0.05),while there were no differences in other scores(P>0.05).4.During the follow-up,there were significant differences in both ISI and PSQI scores between the two groups before treatment and within the two groups after four-week follow-up(P<0.05).After four-week follow-up,there were significant differences in both ISI and PSQI score between the two groups(P < 0.05).No adverse events occurred in the two groups during follow-up.Conclusion: 1.Auricular points combined with body acupoints therapy has achieved good clinical efficacy on short-term insomnia disorder caused by liver fire disturbing heart.2.Both the treatments of auricular points combined with body acupoints with seirin pyonex needles and only body acupoints with seirin pyonex needles can effectively improve symptoms of insomnia from short-term insomnia disorder caused by liver fire disturbing heart and it has certain short-term effect as well as safety.3.The treatments of auricular points combined with body acupoints with seirin pyonex needles can more efficiently improve sleep disorders, daytime dysfunction, shorten sleep-onset latency, extend total sleep time, improve subjective sleep efficiency and sleep quality, and effectively reduce daytime sleepiness, reduce wake times, shorten wake time after sleep onset time. |
