Part1 Analysis of clinical features of non-puerperal mastitisObjective The clinical features of the two most common pathological types, granulomatous mastitis and plasma cell mastitis in non-puerperal mastitis were analyzed retrospectively to further explore the similarities and differences between the two, providing a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method The medical records of patients undergoing surgical treatment at Huai’an First Hospital,Nanjing Medical University from January 2012 to January 2017 were collected.Postoperative pathology confirmed that there were 59 cases of granulomatous mastitis and 50 cases of plasma cell mastitis. The age of onset of disease, nipple depression, first site of onset, month of treatment, breastfeeding history, and postoperative recurrence were calculated and compared between the two groups.Result Granulomatous mastitis and plasma cell mastitis in age differences were not statistically significant(t =-1.856 P = 0.066> 0.05);The difference in the symptoms of nipple depression was statistically significant(χ~2 = 21.52,P < 0.01).;There was a statistically significant difference in the site of onset(χ~2=10.99,P=0.001<0.01);There was a statistically significant difference in the visit months.(t=2.368 p=0.020<0.05);There was no significant difference in the history of breastfeeding(χ~2=1.502 P=0.22>0.05);There was no significant difference in postoperative recurrence rate(χ~2=0.016 P=0.900> 0.05).Conclusion There was no significant difference between GM and PCM in terms of the age of onset, the history of breastfeeding and the recurrence rate, and the difference between the two was in the three clinical features of nipple depression, visit month, and site of attack.Part2 Expression of TLR2 and TLR4 in Non-puerperal mastitis MastitisObjective To investigate the expression of Toll-like receptor 2(TLR2)and Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)in different pathological types and different clinical stages of non-puerperal mastitis, and to explore the relationship between TLR2 and TLR4 and the development of Non-puerperal mastitis.Method One hundred and forty-one NPM patients who underwent surgical treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Huai’an,Nanjing Medical University from January 2012 to January 2017 were consecutively recruited and their postoperative paraffin pathological sections were collected and divided into granulomatous mastitis groups(N=59)and plasma cell mastitis group(N=50)according by pathological types;According to clinical stage, the patients were divided into acute phase(N=21),subacute phase(N=72)and chronic phase(N=48)groups.The level of expression of TLR2 and TLR4 were studied by detecting the cumulative optical density in pathological sections by immunohistochemical method.Their differences expressionswere analyzed between different groups, and then to explore its significance.Result Compared with the control group, the expression of TLR2 and TLR4 in non-puerperal mastitis was statistically significant(P<0.05),The expression of TLR2 and TLR4 in the acute phase was significantly higher than that in the chronic phase and the subacute phase(P<0.01)and the expression of TLR2 and TLR4 was not statistically different between granulomatous mastitis group and plasma cell mastitis group.(P>0.05).Conclusion TLR2 and TLR4 may play an important role in the development of non-puerperal mastitis. There is no difference in the expression of TLR2 and TLR4 between granulomatous mastitis and plasma cell mastitis.
