As one of the important technologies to improve image quality,image processing has been widely used in many fields such as video surveillance,aerospace,security,transportation,medical treatment,and unmanned aerial vehicles,and plays an important role.In recent years,many algorithms for color shift correction with excellent performance have come out in succession.These algorithms have to face complex weather and environment,as well as the uneven transmission and deviation caused by domestic optical devices and other design factors.Color problems,which will seriously affect the image quality.At the same time,the system's data throughput is large,the amount of algorithm calculation increases and the system's real-time requirements further increase the pressure on the calculation.Therefore,not only the superior performance of the algorithm is required,but also the efficient calculation of the platform needs to be ensured.The thesis focuses on researching and designing an image color correction system suitable for most complex scene problems as much as possible,improving the automatic white balance algorithm,selecting a suitable hardware platform and implementing it.The thesis mainly completes the following work:1.Established a hardware platform with FPGA chip as the main controller and computing chip and MCU chip as the auxiliary coprocessor.A hardware system with video codec,image pre-processing,image storage and external communication functions is designed,and communication design and FPGA software design are performed.2.Aiming at the problem of color cast such as single color in the actual scene,the paper improves the traditional white balance algorithm and interpolation algorithm,and realizes the color shift correction of the image.The processed image has good visual effects and restores the true colors of the scene.3.The image color shift correction algorithm has been transplanted to the embedded hardware platform and has been applied to monitoring equipment.Practice has proved that the FPGA image color shift correction hardware system has the characteristics of high definition,strong real-time performance,and low power consumption.
