The combination of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things marks the arrival of a new era.The Internet of Things smart chip has also become an important direction for future chip development research.As a new branch,the special structure of the IoT smart chip has new demands on the chip verification work.How to build an efficient,scalable and reusable IoT smart chip verification platform is essential.Therefore,this paper studies and designs a complete verification platform for the IoT smart chip,which consists of three sub-platforms.The main work is as follows:In this paper,a simulation verification sub-platform of IoT smart chip is built.By analyzing the functions of each module,this paper completes the modeling of IoT smart chip's general modules,including WIFI,sensor,communication interface,memory,etc.Then,the architecture of the universal verification component of each module is determined and software code for each component of the simulation verification subplatform is designed.By using the simulation verification sub-platform,the design code of IoT smart chip is varificated at the module level from the three aspects of simulation waveform,coverage and scoreboard comparison results.In this paper,an FPGA-based prototype verification sub-platform is bulit.The appropriate FPGA core chip is selected to download the IoT smart chip design prototype.Through the module division and independent circuit design,the universal peripherals of the IoT smart chip are integrated into the prototype verification sub-platform.The prototype verification sub-platform is used to perform system level verification of IoT smart chip.In this paper,a board-level verification sub-platform based on chip is built.On the basis of the prototype verification sub-platform,the FPGA core chip is replaced by the IoT smart chip,which has been taped out and packaged under the TSMC 0.18?m process.Then,the preliminary verification is carried out.In this paper,the simulation verification sub-platform,the prototype verification sub-platform based on FPGA and the board-level verification sub-platform based on chip have verified the functions of the IoT smart chip.The verification platform which compose of the three above can realize scalable and reusable.The establishment of this verification platform has certain reference value for future work in the field of IoT smart chip verification.
