Research On The Phenomenon Of "Foreign Web Celebrity" From The Perspective Of Cross-cultural Communication

With the development of Internet technology and the rise of social media platform and short video platform,a batch of "foreign web celebrity" has emerged in the network.They may have lived in China or have traveled in China.Based on the "other"perspective,they present their own China,the country they know and their understanding of the cultural differences between them in their own original videos in the process of contacting and understanding Chinese culture and people's livelihood.In the era of economic globalization and the construction of "One Belt And One Road",web celebrity group constructs the national image of China from the perspective of "others" and builds a bridge of cross-cultural communication between China and foreign countries.In this paper,the influence of foreign web celebrity in Sina weibo was statistically sorted and five head foreign web celebrity were selected for in-depth study.In their article released in 2019,the year 472 the original video microblogging as the research sample,from the topic type,content,characteristics and the narrative style of its spread content was studied,and combing the web celebrity communication channels at home and abroad,analyzed the community audience in China,overseas Chinese audience and the impact of international communication.Finally,this paper summarizes the limitations and problems of foreign web celebrity,such as the lack of depth of content and the low influence of foreign web celebrity,and puts forward some Suggestions on the positive development of foreign web celebrity group,so as to promote the foreign web celebrity to play a greater value and role in cross-cultural communication.
