The Change Of The Media Image Of Chinese Female Migrant Workers Since The Reform And Opening Up

2018 is the fortieth anniversary of reform and opening up.According to the survey conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics on the "Monthly Survey Report on Migrant Workers in 2017",the number of migrant workers abroad is 285.52 million,of which 34.4% are female migrant workers.Reports on female migrant workers are declining.The article selects Nanfang Daily as a sample to analyze the female media image of female migrant workers,and uses the framework theory of Zang Guoren to analyze the content of the sample.Through the vertical and horizontal comparison,the media image of Chinese female migrant workers is divided into positive media image and negative media.The image includes positive self-improvement,mediation in the snow,active rights protection,and positive energy transmission.The negative includes the image of the victim who has been treated unfairly,the image of the weak who survives in the cracks,and the image of the offender.The changes of female migrant workers in the past 40 years are mainly summarized from three aspects: the enhancement of identity,the more diversified media image,and the change of social needs and self-demand.The motivations affecting the changes of female migrant workers' media image are analyzed from the macro and micro aspects.The macro includes the promotion of national economic strength,the support of national policies,and the transformation of technology.The micro factors include changes in the media environment and changes in the needs of the audience.There are many problems in the reports of women migrant workers in China,including the lack of discourse power of female migrant workers,the lack of rigorous media media use,and the lack of deep exploration of female migrant workers' reports.The article proposes three suggestions for these three points to strengthen female migrant workers.Discourse rights,diversification of media coverage,and journalists need to take root and in-depth reports.I hope that the article can contribute to the research of female migrant workers,the media reports of female migrant workers,and the right to speak of female migrant workers.
