In recent years,as the number of private cars increase rapidly,the traffic jam problem is becoming more and more serious.In the process of solving this problem,the transportation department needs a tool to evaluate the manage measures.Luckily,through modeling and deduction,the micro traffic simulation system can reproduce the running status of traffic flow and provide evaluation for the measures.In this context,based on a simulation development kit in laboratory and combined with the simulation development work during my postgraduate,a microscopic traffic simulation system,which is based on modular design,is implemented.The modules of the system are divided into three levels,including kernel layer,tool level and application level.The system can provide standardized Web services and support 2D and 3D traffic simulation in the browser.Specifically,the system has the following features:1)Many useful modules are built,including a traffic light model,several kinds of map parser,a traffic evaluation module,a traffic congestion index calculation model,several simulation actuators,a mechanism of simulation state monitoring and so on.2)Have some ways to solve the problem of missing data,including the traffic lights can be automatically built at the intersection,the road network topology can be built based on the road center line,and the traffic flow of the whole road network can be estimated based on the traffic flow of some roads.3)A weighted traffic demand fusion model is proposed.The model can unify the input and use of various data sources.What's more,the model can meet the requirements of fusion,handover and supplement between multiple data sources.4)The system is valuable in application.The Urumqi East Ring Highway were simulated by using this system.And based on this,we analyzed the causes of traffic jam,studied the effects of closing ramp,and proposed a traffic jam solution.
