Distributed control problems of large-scale systems has attracted considerable at-tention in the past years.For distributed control,the communication among observer-s and controllers plays an important role in improving system performance.In recent years,the research on the communication topology among observers and controllers has received much attention.When the communication topology is a designable parame-ter,the sparse communication topology is often desired.The study of sparse controller communication network design problem has made significant progress.However,in existing literatures,the topology of distributed observer communication network is the same as the topology of plant.Therefore,this thesis studies control problems for large-scale systems with sparse observer communication network.The main contributions in this thesis is as follows:Consider stabilization problem of large-scale systems with sparse observer com-munication network.Different from the existing design methods for distributed observer-based stabilization controller,the topology of observer communication network is a designable variable and the number of the topology links is mini-mized.We aim to design the sparse observer communication network such that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable.Firstly,sufficient conditions are established to design the distributed observer and controller gains.Then,the de-veloped sufficient conditions are used to minimize the number of the links in the observer communication network.In addition,we adopt an adapted exhaustive search algorithm to find the minimum output measurement sensors for sparse ob-server communication network.Consider the H? observer-based control for large-scale systems with sparse ob-server communication network.We aim to design the sparse observer commu-nication network such that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and satisfies the H? performance.Firstly,sufficient conditions are established to de-sign the distributed H? observer and controller gains in terms of LMIs.Then,the developed sufficient conditions are used to minimize the number of the links in the observer communication network.Two numerical algorithms are proposed to solve the sparse observer communication network design problem.Consider the H? observer-based control for large-scale systems with sparse ob-server communication network under uncertain missing measurements probabil-ities.For uncertain missing measurements probabilities,we aim to design the sparse observer communication network such that the closed-loop system is ex-ponentially mean-square stable and satisfies the H? performance.Firstly,suffi-cient conditions are established to design the distributed H? observer and con-troller gains in terms of LMIs.Then,the developed sufficient conditions are used to minimize the number of the links in the observer communication network.we adopt adapted exhaustive search algorithm to solve the sparse observer commu-nication network design problem.
