There are some main aspects of decentralized control for large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems, which are the front edge and hot point problems and in an urgent need to be solved and have been studied systematically in this dissertation. These aspects are:robust state feedback control and output feedback control problems for large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems, robust control problem for large-scale interconnected nonlinear time-delay systems, almost disturbance decoupling problem for large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems. The problem of robust global practical stabilization for large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems is proposed. A class of nonlinear systems is given and control design for the systems is studied. This paper presents some new ideas and some research results have been gained. The main contents and results in this dissertation are as followings:1. A class of nonlinear systems with nonlinear input is given by the author and control design for the systems is studied. Firstly state feedback control design for the new systems is given, then output feedback control design for the new systems is also given, finally large-scale interconnected systems are composed of the systems and the corresponding control design for the large-scale interconnected systems is gained.2. Robust control problem for large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems via state feedback is studied. Firstly, control design for a class of large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems with mismatched interconnections is given. Secondly, robust decentralized control problem for a class of large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems with bounded disturbances is discussed. Then, control design for a class of large-scale interconnected non-affine nonlinear systems is given. Finally, robust decentralized output tracking problem for large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems is discussed.3. Robust decentralized output feedback control problem for large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems with general interconnections is studied. Firstly, output feedback control design for a class of large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems with matched interconnections is given. Then, we put a class of nonlinear systems with mismatched interconnections together large-scale interconnected systems and give the corresponding output feedback control design for the large-scale interconnected systems.4. Robust decentralized state feedback control problem for a class of large-scale interconnected nonlinear time-delay systems is studied. We put forward to some new ideas by using the linear transformation of the states of each subsystem. When the state feedback control laws are applied to the systems, the closed-loop systems are global uniformly asymptotic stable.5. The problem of decentralized robust almost disturbance decoupling for a class of large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems is studied. Decentralized state feedback or output feedback control laws are obtained by using the linear transformation of the states of each subsystem. When the state feedback control laws are applied to the systems, the closed-loop systems without exogenous input are global uniformly asymptotic stable and the level of disturbance attenuation can be made arbitrarily small for all allowed.6. The problem of global practical stabilization control for large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems is suggested. Firstly, global practical stabilization control design for a class of uncertain affine nonlinear systems is given. Then, decentralized state feedback control design for a class of large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems with uncertain interconnections is given. The nonlinear interconnections of the systems satisfy with the growth condition which is less than or equal to one and also satisfy with the matched condition. The decentralized state feedback controllers are obtained by using the linear transformation of the states of each subsystem. When the state feedback control laws are applied to the systems, the closed-loop systems are global practical stable. Finally, the problem of robust global practical stabilization for a class of new large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems with uncertainties via output feedback is studied. The nonlinear interconnections of the systems satisfy with the growth condition which is less than one, but not satisfy with the matched condition. The decentralized output feedback controllers are obtained by designing a convergent state observer of each subsystem and using the linear transformation of the states of each observer. When the output feedback control laws are applied to the systems, the closed-loop systems are global practical stable.
