Passive radar,a kind of new radar system,it exploits the third-party transmitters as illuminators of opportunity to perform target detection and tracking,while which does not emit electromagnetic wave signal.This system has the advantages of no frequency assignment,no electromagnetic interference and strong concealment,and has gradually become the focus of the new system radar technology.With the rapid development of digital multimedia broadcasting services and new wireless communication technology,Chinese digital audio broadcasting(CDR),China Mobile Multimedia broadcasting(CMMB),Digital Television Terrestrial multimedia broadcasting(DTMB),Global System for Mobile communication(GSM),Long-Term Evolution(LTE)and Wireless Fidelity(Wi-Fi)wireless signal provides new opportunity illuminators for passive radar.Due to the large differences in the center frequency and the signal bandwidth of different types of radiation sources,the traditional receiver of passive radar has a great limitation in the compatibility of the multi-band radiation source.However,the unique advantages of different radiation sources in distance coverage,resolution performance and geographical location make them more valuable in some specific scenarios.Nowadays,in order to use a variety of different types of radiation source for target detection experiment,multiple independent receiver systems are required to meet the requirements,This undoubtedly increases the cost and complexity of designing independent receiver systems.In addition,traditional passive radar receiver has hardware complex structure,large volume and low degree of integration.In view of the shortcomings of the current hardware system of the passive radar receiver,a high integration,miniaturization,multi band,low cost software radio receiver system is designed.The system based on high integrated AD9361 RF chip and FPGA and high integrated USB3.0 data transmission module as the core,the system working frequency range is 70MHz to 3 GHz,support the bandwidth less than 200KHz to 56MHz range,covering most of the digital multimedia broadcasting services and features of wireless communication services signal,system gain and sampling rate are adjustable.The system is directly connected with the antenna,the AD9361 internal register is controlled by FPGA procedures,and this system can realize the conversion of RF signal of interested to digital baseband signal,the digital baseband data is transmitted by the USB3.0 data transmission module and stored by PC.In this paper,the performance parameters of the system are tested,and the field test is carried out by using CDR,DTMB and FDD-LTE irradiation source.The measured results show that the system can correctly collect the multi-band external radiation source signals.Compared with the traditional receiver,the system has higher integration and lower cost.Relying on the advantages of multi-band and portable,the system can play a leading role in advancing the experiment in the early stage of the field experiment.The successful implementation of the system also provides guidance for researchers to explore new radar receiver solutions.
