Frequency hopping communication is a kind of spread spectrum communication. It has been used widely in the field of military communication because of its strong resistance to capture and anti-interference ability. With the increasingly high demand for communication quality, embedded systems with their high-performance,low power consumption characteristics become the preferred application in this regard.Applying these chips into frequency hopping communication will undoubtedly promote the communication technology forward. The rapid progress of wireless mobile communication technology has brought the rapid growth in demand of multimedia services, which appears some obvious drawbacks in the traditional layered protocol stack designing.Cross-layer design coordinates parameters in each layer of wireless network through exchanging data information between layers and dispatches various parameters in each layer, thus effectively distributing network resources and enhancing the comprehensive performance of network. This paper focuses on the realization and aims at designing a proper cross-layer protocol of data link layer matching this system based on the existing embedded dual-core frequency hopping communication terminal, then applies it into this frequency hopping communication system.
