The development of digital signal processing is based on the theory, realization and application of digital signal processing. the application of digital signal processing technology is very extensive, in the past 30 years, the application of digital signal processing platform has been extended from the military, aerospace to communications, radar, consumer electronics and many other fields. Signal processing core of digital signal processing platform is changing from a single DSP core chip to multi-core chips cooperating. The function of digital signal processing platform is more and more rich. This article designed a digital signal processing platform based on OMAP-L137 + FPGA. OMAP-L137 is a open multimedia applications platform produced by Texas Instruments of the United States, OMAP-L137 integrate a C674x DSP core and a ARM9 core, so it has high-speed computing power and strong control function. This article analysised the power consumption of the digital signal processing platform and then designed a duty circuit in the FPGA to wake up the standby master processing chip. In this way, power consumption of the digital signal processing platform has been reduced. The using of FPGA makes the system structure more flexible and easier to maintain and extend. This article complete the schematic design and PCB design of the hardware platform first. After the accomplishing of the hardware platform, this article analysis the implementation detailed of each function of the system design and achieved the realization of each function by software design, Finally, this article tested various functions of the digital signal processing platform and the test results are given.
