Research On The Dilemma And Countermeasures Of Privacy Protection For University Students Users Of News APP

With the development of Internet technology and mobile phone client,news APP has abstained extensive recognition because of its convenience and efficiency.The using process of news APP was related to the collection and using of many users' information,so privacy security of its users has become a hot topic.College students,which has been growing with the internet,is the main users of news APP.Therefore,the research of privacy protection of news APP from college students is very important.This thesis regards college student users of the news APP as research object,and focuses on the privacy dilemma of privacy security of news APP and how to deal with it.This thesis specifically discusses three problems: first,does the privacy policy of the news APP raise concerns of users' privacy? Second,how the privacy concerns of college students stimulate privacy protection? Third,how to optimize the privacy protection of college student users of the news APP?Based on the protective motivation theory,this thesis designs questionnaires and interview outlines around three aspects: protection motivation,privacy concern and privacy protection.In this thesis,the college students in Jiangxi Province are taken as samples,and the data of 12 universities in Jiangxi Province are collected through multi-stage stratified sampling.A total of 634 valid questionnaires and 11 in-depth user interviews are obtained.Based on this,this thesis analyzes the relationship between privacy concerns and privacy protection of college students,and discusses the dilemma of privacy protection of college students in news app and how to deal with it.This thesis analyzes dilemma and its causes of privacy protection of college students in news APP: first,college students' awareness of self-protection is not strong,which is mainly manifested in the lack of awareness of privacy threats and cognition of privacy concerns,and passive acceptance of privacy policies of news APP;second,college students lack the privacy protection ability of using news APP,which is mainly manifested in the forced collection of personal information and privacy.The third is that the Chinese society does not pay enough attention to the privacy protection of college students,which is mainly reflected in the lack of specific provisions for privacy protection,the lack of ways to protect privacy,and the lack of publicity and education for privacy protection.This thesis puts forward optimizing strategies for the privacy protection of college students in news APP: first,we should strengthen the privacy security protection of college students.Not only should we improve the perception of privacy threats by college students and their attention to personal privacy information,but also to guide college students to actively set up their personal privacy rights;second,it is necessary to clarify the information service rights and responsibilities of the news APP platform.We should not only make clear the use limit of APP user information,the security guarantee of user privacy information,but also respect the personal choice of APP user information submission.Third,we should improve the protection mechanism of news APP user privacy,and strengthen the privacy protection of college students from laws and regulations,publicity and education,establishment of institutions,etc.Enhance the privacy protection of college students.In general,the thesis is based on the theory of protection motivation,supplemented by first-hand survey data to review the privacy protection of college student users in the news APP,which has some innovative significance in the theoretical application and research objects.
