Research On Social Capital Cultivation Of Affordable Housing Communities

The problem of urban poverty is a serious social problem facing all countries in the world today.In China,due to the transformation of the economic system and changes in various economic and social policies,the poverty problem of some urban residents has become increasingly prominent.In order to alleviate this contradiction,Guangzhou has vigorously promoted the innovation of affordable housing policies and provided strong housing security for groups with income difficulties.However,the social housing community itself has the inherent defect of insufficient social capital.As one of the important roles in the community,social work institutions play a vital role in cultivating community social capital.Based on the theoretical perspective of developmental social work,this paper analyzes from the structural basis of social capital and the action basis of social capital.Field survey through participatory observation and structure interview method,in-depth analysis of social capital status of affordable housing communities and how to cultivate social capital,existing problems and corresponding strategies.The study found that the social capital structure of the affordable housing community is relatively weak during development,which is manifested by development difficulties such as weak social support systems,tight neighborhood relations,low community participation,and insufficient community trust.The main reason for such a dilemma is the lack of social capital,and developmental social work is committed to promoting its production capacity to improve the overall situation,and to achieve sustainable development of the community,is committed to promoting the coordination and balance of social development and economic development,Emphasizing that members of society benefit from economic development.Therefore,developmental social work is conducive to the cultivation and improvement of community social capital,and the cultivation and improvement of social capital is conducive to alleviating the development dilemma of affordable housing communities.
