In 1996,the Chinese Basketball Association renamed the former Men's Basketball League to the CBA Professional League.With the orientation of industrialization and professionalism,the Chinese Basketball Association officially began the process of reforming the professional basketball competition system.With the continuous deepening of the reform of the CBA league,its influence on China's basketball is also becoming more and more important.CBA is the core resource of China's sports industry and media.In the future,it has the potential to develop into an important force in the international sports industry.Tencent platform has hundreds of millions of users.According to the official website of Tencent Sports,the number of independent users in NBA single events has reached 453 million,which has penetrated more than 60% of the Chinese Internet users.The core audience(live users)exceeds 125 million.Strong coverage will help CBA content be better communicated to Chinese users,and the CBA brand will be further enhanced.With Tencent's own large user base,it can greatly boost the growth of the Chinese basketball population.Different from traditional media's media image shaping for CBA players,Tencent's communication mode has broken the habits and thinking of traditional media.Tencent's new shared-based media platform,combined with social and online page content,provides multi-source and multi-faceted,multi-form information to enable information coverage to Tencent sports,video,social networking and other platforms.Through the provision of content and interaction with the audience,new content can be generated,which leads to a continuous production mechanism of content in the new media environment.This process realizes the process from content supply to content consumption.This paper mainly takes the report text of the media image of CBA players in Tencent Sports in 2013-2018 as the research object,and uses the methods of literature,content analysis and mathematical statistics to explore the way Tencent Sports shapes the media image of CBA players.Restore the process of shaping the media image of CBA players,and propose targeted suggestions for their shortcomings in shaping the media image of CBA players.
