The Singapore Elementary Chinese textbook "Primary School Chinese"(revised edition of the 2014 SinoSingapore edition)is a localized Chinese teaching material compiled by Singaporean Chinese educators based on Singapore's bilingual national conditions.The teaching materials are lively and interesting,with moderate difficulty and pertinence.Strong and close to life,it can fully reflect the local characteristics of Singapore.It is welcomed by Singaporean Chinese learners and adopted by other regions in Southeast Asia.It has contributed to the prosperity and development of Chinese education.To explore the elements of life in Singapore Chinese primary school textbooks is not only conducive to understanding the current situation of learning Chinese in Singapore,but also has some implications for the preparation of elementary school Chinese textbooks in China.This study is planned to be carried out in five parts: The first part will review the research status of the lifesavvy teaching of Chinese textbooks in primary schools in Singapore.The study will focus on Singapore Chinese and Singaporean Chinese textbooks as well as on the review of life in the academic world.The second part makes a distinction between the dimensions of the life of Chinese textbooks in primary schools in Singapore.In the third part,the primary sample is "Primary Chinese"(Sino-Singapore Co-edited 2014 Revised Edition),and the study of life is carried out from six aspects of the language features,selection of texts,illustrations,structure arrangement,practice methods,and editorial thinking.The fourth part discusses the knowledge construction and linguistic features of "Primary Chinese" and reflects Singapore's policy of using Chinese as its mother tongue instead of the official language.The fifth part mainly studies the limitations of the life of the Singapore Elementary School Chinese textbooks(2014 revision)and its enlightenment to our country's textbook compilation.The author hopes to use the text content of the “Chinese Textbook for Elementary School” life-formed textbook,as well as its knowledge construction and linguistic features,combined with the local characteristics of Singapore,sums up the basic characteristics of the “Primary School Chinese” and its life style,which is the primary language Chinese teaching material for the current stage.Writing provides useful experience.
