The Study Of Biographies In Jiang Shiquan's Zhongyatang Collection Of Essays

Jiang Shiquan,named Xinyu,with another name Qingrong,was born in Yanshan,which belongs to Shangrao of Jiangxi Province today.He was a famous litterateur and dramatist of Mid Qing Dynasty.Zhong Yatang Collection is a summary of Jiang Shiquan's poetry,lyrcs,songs and essays,which was collected and published by his descendants.Zhong Yatang Collection of Essays is a part of Zhong Yatang Collection,,which has 12 volumes,252 piece of writings in all.Biographies in Zhong Yatang Collection of Essays are most valuable.These biographies have all together 114 piece of writings,which contains Zhuan,Ji,Xing Zhuang,Bei Ji,Epitaphs,Mu Biao and Ji Wen.Regrettably,for a long time,Jiang Shiquan's essays were ignored by people.This article is a study of Jiang Shiquan's biographical essays,I hope it can remedy a defect of study in Jiang Shiquan's essays.This article contains four chapters.Chapter 1 mainly discuses Jiang Shiquan's family,teacher,friends,life experiences and background of Qian Long's Society.Chapter 2 discuses the connotation of biography,included Zhuan,Ji,Xing Zhuang,Bei Ji,Epitaphs,Mu Biao and Ji Wen.Then we have a classify of them by two aspects:things recorded and persons recorded.Chapter 3 analyses the ideological value of biographies in Zhong Yatang Collection of Essays,which are inextricable from the Jiang Shiquan's thinking.The ideological value has two parts:one contains themes about Loyalty,Filial Piety,Righteousness and Martyr,while the other includes subject matters as"Dian Mao Ju Huang".Chapter 4 analyses the literary value of biographies in Zhong Yatang Collection of Essays,The literary value has four parts:the aesthetic pursuit of Qing,Zhen,Ya and Zheng.Ingenious structure,calculated length of article and linguistic elegant and immaculate.At last chapter,we would make a summary of the above,and we would also discuss the shortcoming of this article to provide some reference for further research.Appendix listed a chronological table of Jiang Shiquan's biological essays.For each essay,it contains:Title,Age,The name of its protagonist,The relationship between author and protagonist,Related poems,essays.It help us visualize these essays.
