Research On The Legality Of Scientific Beauty

Before the 1980s,there was no"scientific beauty"in the textbooks of aesthetic principles,but after that,almost all Chinese aesthetic textbooks incorporated"scientific beauty"into the aesthetic system.However,the integration of scientific beauty into the traditional aesthetic system is a big problem.First of all,in aesthetics textbooks,the classification of beauty forms is carried out according to its field.Generally speaking,there are three main forms of beauty,namely natural beauty,social beauty and artistic beauty.If scientific beauty is also put into aesthetics,then the standard of division of beauty is not consistent.Secondly,the concept of scientific beauty is limited to the Chinese academic circle,and there is no such concept in the west.Although some people suggest that aesthetics should study beauty in reason,this concept is not recognized in the west.Third,there is beauty in scientific activities,which is the personal experience of all scientists,no doubt,but we should not define this'beauty as scientific beauty just because there is beauty in scientific activities.From the point of view of logic,the whole process of judgment cannot be replaced by single judgment.Only the commonness that can truly reflect the nature of science can represent science itself.Therefore,although scientific experiments and scientific symbols are the main components of science,they do not belong to science itself.This paper holds that what can truly represent science itself is only scientific theory.Therefore,the so-called scientific beauty can only be the beauty of scientific theory.In addition,it cannot be called scientific beauty.Based on such considerations,this paper attempts to conduct a more in-depth study on the legitimacy of scientific beauty,that is to say,whether it is appropriate to integrate scientific beauty into the aesthetic system,whether scientific beauty,such a new aesthetic form,conforms to the basic principles and basic laws of aesthetics.This paper argues that,although from the perspective of the traditional aesthetics,scientific beauty is not in conformity with the basic traits of beauty,but,according to the understanding of the law of development,everything is changing,therefore,we cannot use a beauty still look at science,and should be from the perspective of social development,to conduct a comprehensive grasp of it.
