An Analysis Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Elements Distributions And Influence Factors Based On 300 Hypertension Patients In Yuncheng Area

Objective: Through collecting the clinical materials of level-2 hypertension patients,this thesis explores their traditional Chinese syndrome elements and combination characteristics,and analyzes the related influence factors.Methods: 300 level-2 hypertension patients’ clinical material from both the outpatient department and the inpatient ward of Yuncheng Fengying Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Coronary Heart Disease were collected.Based on the clinical practice of the specialty for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular system,and the screen of 637 symptoms and signs inprofessor Zhu Wenfeng’s Scale of Syndrome Elements Differentiation by Syndrome,the questionnaire for epidemiology—Scale of the Blood pressure and Symptoms of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Hypertensive patients,was made.Calculation of the total value of each syndrome element was done on the basis of the verification of professor Zhu Wenfeng’s Scale of Syndrome Elements Differentiation by Syndrome and the registration of each syndrome’s diagnostic contribution value to related syndrome elements.Diagnosis of a single syndrome element was made when the sum of diagnostic contribution value reaches or exceeds 20.Statistics for each patient’s disease location syndrome elements and disease resistance syndrome elements were given and analyzed for their distribution features and regularities,as well as the related influence factors.Results: 1.Linear relation is found between arteriosclerosis and the age of the 300 hypertension patients.2.Among the disease cases being investigated,disease syndrome elements contained in liver were of the highest,followed by the content of kidneys.The order of the syndrome elements contained is: liver(73.33%)> kidney(36.00%)> heart(15.67%)> spleen(9.67%)> lung(1.00%);3.In the 300 disease cases,patients with single-disease-position,double-disease-position and triple-disease-position syndrome elements were of the majority,accounted for 67.3%,29.7% and 3.0% separately.4.The 300 hypertension patients’ syndrome elements of nature of disease are mainly distributed among yin deficiency syndrome(79.3%),yang hyperactivity syndrome(48.7%),qi deficiency syndrome(47.7%),blood deficiency syndrome(62.7%),and phlegm(45.3%);single syndrome elements of nature of disease are rarely found while multi-syndrome-elements of nature of disease are mostly found in patients with yin blood deficiency,yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity,qi and blood deficiency,as well as qi and yin blood deficiency.5.Among the combined nature of disease of the 300 hypertension patients,yin blood deficiency syndrome bears a positive correlation with age,heart,liver and kidneys;qi and blood deficiency syndrome bears a positive correlation with age,heart,spleen,kidneys and females,but a negative correlation with BMI;qi and yin deficiency syndrome bears a positive correlation with age,heart and kidneys,but a negative correlation with spleen and abnormality of blood glucose;blood deficiency and essence damage syndrome bears a negative correlation with BMI;turbid phlegm and blood stasis syndrome,and phlegm heat and blood stasis syndrome have not shown obvious influence factors;Obstruction of phlegm and dampness is positively correlated with spleen and abnormality of blood glucose;Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome is positively correlated with heart;Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome is positively correlated with heart;Yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity syndrome is positively correlated with liver and females,but negatively correlated with heart and spleen;Yin deficiency with phlegm syndrome is positively correlated with BMI,liver and abnormality of blood glucose,but negatively correlated with females;Qi deficiency with phlegm syndrome has positive correlation with age,heart and spleen;Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome has positive correlation with heart and lungs.Conclusions: 1.The older the level-2 hypertension patients are,the higher the chances to have arteriosclerosis,deficiency syndrome and phlegm syndrome.2.Among the level-2 hypertension patients,the liver disease-position syndrome element accounts for the highest percentage,the second being the kidneys.The syndrome elements of nature of disease are mainly found in the syndrome elements of yin deficiency,yang hyperactivity,qi deficiency,blood deficiency and phlegm,etc.,with a high percentage of single and double disease-position syndrome elements.3.The combined syndrome elements of nature of disease for level-2 hypertension patients are mostly yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity,qi and blood deficiency,qi and yin deficiency,and yin and blood deficiency,etc.;in addition,females are more found having qi and blood deficiency,and yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity syndrome,while males are more of yin deficiency with phlegm syndrome;4.The combined syndrome elements of nature of disease have certain correlation with the disease-position syndrome elements of the five internal organs,as well as with some physicochemical indexes,such as BMI,blood glucose and blood sugar and so on.
