The global cancer situation is quite serious, and China's cancer morbidity and mortality are the highest in the world.Chemotherapy is currently one of the most effective means of cancer treatment.Cancer patients will suffer physical and mental damage during chemotherapy, which is also a huge challenge for caregivers.Since the situations of caregivers are closely related to the functioning of the family system, this paper explored the care experience of caregiver for cancer patients from the perspective of family resilience.During the internship of the oncology department in J Hospital as a medical social worker, the researcher selected 11 caregivers for cancer patients during the chemotherapy period, using interviews and participatory observation methods to explore their negative and positive care experiences and reveal the impacts of family protection factors on the care experience.Taking Ms.C as an example, the researcher put M's negative care experience into her familial context for exploratory analysis.Based on the protection and risk factors of Ms.C's family,12 intervention processes are used to imporve the experiences of caregivers by promoting the family resilience. The study found that the cancer patients in the chemotherapy period faced negative experiences of psychological stress, physical exhaustion, economic difficulties and family tensions. The causes of this phenomenon can be attributed to family confusion, unreasonable organizational model, and poor communication process. Therefore, when the case is involved,in the belief system, the family is guided to establish a positive outlook for the future;in terms of organizational model,to cultivate the relationship network and construct a reasonable care model;in the communication process,to encourage the family members to exchange information and share emotions.Through the case evaluation, the researcher found that with the promotion of family protection factors, the sense of connection between family members increased, and the physical and mental stress of the caregiver was alleviated. Finally, the researcher provided some reflections and suggestions for improvement on the family resilience model and the involvement of social workers in the care of cancer patients.
