Study On The Medical Social Work Tntervention In Family Function Of Patients With Mental Disorders

With the reform of the medical system and the innovation of treatment methods,more and more patients with mental disorders return to their families for rehabilitation treatment.As the basic unit of society,the family plays a vital role in the rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders,and is also closely related to the development and progress of society.Since the 1990 s,Chinese scholars have begun to use the family function theory to study the families of patients with mental disorders.Due to the influence of external social public opinion and the difficulties in maintaining the family’s internal relations,the families of patients with mental disorders often have to bear great pressure.They are not only in need of medicines and other materials,but also in need of relevant knowledge of nursing and effective social support services.These are all important factors that affect the improvement of patients’ family functions.The intervention of medical social workers can provide professional nursing knowledge guidance to the families of the mentally handicapped,and can also relieve pressure in time according to the psychological state of patients and family members,thus providing a good rehabilitation environment for the mentally handicapped.I had participated in the whole process of medical social workers providing services to families of patients with mental disorders through the internship experience in medical social work institutions,and had some thoughts on the intervention practice.Based on the understanding of families of patients with mental disorders and medical social workers,the study was carried out.On the basis of previous studies,this paper takes the family function theory as the theoretical framework to discuss how medical social workers intervene in the family function of patients with mental disorders,aiming at exploring the establishment of rehabilitation system for patients with mental disorders under the joint action of social support and family function,so as to improve the family function and achieve the purpose of helping patients with mental disorders to obtain better therapeutic effects.This study investigated the existing problems of family function of patients with mental disorders,analyzed the causes of the problems,and understood the needs of patients’ families,which served as the basis for medical social workers to carry out intervention services.Medical social workers use their professional knowledge and skills to provide targeted services to patients with mental disorders in the form of group activities combined with case services.In the process of helping clients find problems and solve problems,they explore the follow-up development of medical social workers’ intervention in family function services for patients with mental disorders.This article is based on questionnaires,interview information and practical content,using quantitative and qualitative research methods to summarize the causes of family function problems of patients with mental disorders from multiple perspectives.On the premise of analyzing the needs,medical social workers use their professional abilities to help patients’ families improve their family functions,and discuss the practical situation under the guidance of theory,hoping to have certain significance for future research and development.
