Objective By optical coherence tomography imaging(OCT)testing in patients with high myopia peripheral nerve fiber layer thickness(RNFLT)and macular area neurocortical thickness,on the observation of high myopia patients with different age,axial length and diopter and whether with Posterior staphyloma RNFLT and macular area neurocortical thickness;In two groups of with and without Posterior staphyloma,The correlation between RNFLT,macular area neurocortical thickness and patients with age,axial length and diopter was analyzed.to explore with posterior staphyloma high myopia patients after the change of the pole of the parameters.for clinical high myopia,especially super high myopia patients with fundus diseases provides the reference for the assessment of progress.Methods In this study,a total of 58 cases(102 eyes)with different degrees of myopia(-6.50~-24.62D)were collected,including 22 males(39 eyes)and 36 females(63 eyes),with ages ranging from 18 to 65 years.The subjects were divided into different groups according to the Age,Spherical equivalent,Axial length and whether they were accompanied by Posterior staphyloma.According to the Age:18 ~33years old,34~49 years old,50~65 years old were divided into A1(32 cases,60 eyes),A2(14 cases,24 eyes)and A3(12 cases,18eyes).According to the Spherical equivalent(Spherical equivalent = spherical mirror +1/2column mirror),≥-6.00~≤-9.00 D,>-9.00~≤-12.00 D,>-12.00 D were divided into S1(29cases,47 eyes),S2(23 cases,32 eyes)and S3(15 cases,23 eyes).According to the Axial length:>25.50~≤27.00mm;>27.00~≤29.00mm;>29.00 mm was divided into L1(31 cases,51eyes),L2(21 cases,35 eyes)and L3(10 cases,16 eyes).According to the presence of posterior staphyloma,the patients were divided into group P1(18 cases,29 eyes)with Posterior staphyloma and group P2(40 cases,73 eyes)without Posterior staphyloma.All subjects completed the relevant ophthalmologic examination,including the use of OCT to measure the thickness of the RNFLT and the retinal neurosensory layer in the macular area.Partial correlation analysis and Pearson correlation analysis were used to determine the correlation between partial parameters of RNFLT and thickness of the retinal neurosensory layer in macular area,axial length,spherical equivalent and age.The comparison of ocular parameter in different groups was performed by the One-Way-ANOVA.The parameters between with and without posterior staphyloma were analyzed by the Independent sample t-test.The data was analyzed with SPSS 22.0 commercial statistical software.Results(1)Age: The measured parameters B9 in A3 was thinner than that in the A2 group(P<0.05),but the parameters in other parts(B1~B8,AVG,S,I,T)were thinner than A1 and A2group(P<0.05).there was no statistical difference in the nasal(N)between the three groups(P>0.05).(2)Spherical equivalen: the parameters measured in B9 and N showed no statistical difference between the S1,S2 and S3 groups(P>0.05),and the parameters measured in other parts(B1~B8,AVG,S,I,T)were thinner in the S3 group than S1 and S2 groups(P<0.05).(3)Axial length: There was no significant difference in macular foveal thickness(B1)among three groups(P>0.05).the parameters of B7 and B9 inL3,L2 were thinner than L1group(P<0.05).the parameters in other parts(B2~B6,B8,AVG,S,N,T)in L3 were thinner than L1,L2 group.The RNFLT of inferior(I)in the L3 group was thinner than L1 and L2(P<0.05),while L2 was thinner than L1(P<0.05).(4)Posterior staphyloma: There was no statistical difference in the parameters measured in the macular fovea(B1,B9,N)(P>0.05).Compared with P2 group,the parameters measured in the macular area and the peripapillary(AVG,B2~B8,S,I,T)of P1 were thinner(P<0.05).(5)Correlation analysis: According to Pearson correlation analysis,As the age increased,the thickness of AVG decreased in group P1;while B1,S,N,I,T had no correlation with Age;In group P2,all parameters(B1,AVG,S,N,I,T)had no correlation with Age.After controlling age by partial correlation analysis,the parameters(B1,AVG,S,N,I,T)in P1 group decrease with the increase of Axial length and Spherical equivalen.In group P2,the parameters(B1,AVG,S,N,I,T)had no correlation with the Spherical equivalen.A weak negative correlation was found between AVG and Axial length,and There was no correlation between the parameters(B1,S,N,I,T)with the Axial length.Conclusion1.The peripapillary RNFL of high myopia around the optic disc showed a bimodal-like distribution;2.The inferior peripapillary RNFL is the first area which showed a trend of thinning with the axial length increased in high myopia,the thikness of T and S getting thinner when AL>29.00 mm,SE>-12.00 D,the nasal peripapillary RNFL was relatively stable which should be pay attention.3.Posterior staphyloma is a sign of damage progress in myopic fundus,Increasing of Spherical equivalen/Axial length,the thickness of foveal,AVG in macular area and peripapillary RNFLT decrease in high myopia with Posterior staphyloma and the company of Posterior staphyloma make some parameters in high myopia sensitive to Age.
