Objective: To compare endoscopic biopsy results and pathological findings of the resected specimen of suspected early-stage gastric cancer patients,so as to explore the difference between them, its correlated factors and clinical characteristics of early-stage gastric cancer cases in Qinghai region.Method: The data of 101 patients suspected with early-stage gastric cancer and undergoing endoscopic submucosal dissection in Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from September 2015 to September 2019 were collected. The patients were divided into low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia group,high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia group and early-stage gastric cancer group according to the biopsy results. The data were processed and analyzed with the statistical method. Results: A total of 101 patients suspected with early-stage gastric cancer and undergoing endoscopic submucosal dissection were enrolled, and their data were processed and analyzed by the statistical method. The results showed that the difference ratios of the low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia group, the high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia group and the early-stage gastric cancer group were 93.8%,75% and 45.8%,respectively.The total difference ratio was 69.3%.The existence of any one of Helicobacter pylori infection, the lesion diameter >2cm,type II(superficial type)lesion shape, type C(branch-or stripe-shaped)pit pattern, and type IV microvessel structure(irregular or new thick blood vessels)affected the difference between biopsy results and pathological findings of the resected specimen(P < 0.05).Conclusions:(1)There are some differences between the biopsy results and pathological findings of the resected specimen. The pathological and biopsy results are relatively limited, but are helpful for the treatment of patients.(2)Helicobacter pylori infection, lesion diameter > 2cm,type C pit pattern and type IV microvessel structure may be the independent factors affecting the difference between the biopsy results and pathological findings of the resected specimen.(3)Patients whose biopsy results may be different from the pathological findings of the resected specimen should receive ESD treatment as early as possible if necessary.(4)In Qinghai region, patients with Helicobacter pylori infection, the lesion in the antrum, the lesion diameter ≤ 2cm,mucosal congestion of the lesion, type II lesion shape(especially superficial protruded+ superficial depressed type),type D pit pattern and type IV microvessel structure should be examined by endoscopy regularly.
